Having now been both places since re-opening, I think I'd recommend Biloxi. Vegas wasnt worse, but not really better either. The one difference, for me, was that there are more fancy eating options available in Vegas currently, but most have abnormal hours and abbreviated menus. I was in Vegas on a holiday weekend and not so for Biloxi, but my entire stay in Vegas the pools were mobbed at both properties from opening until close, so they werent doable for me because I didnt want to be waiting in line to hit the pools at 8AM. Beau Rivage had plenty of pool space open when I was there. Also they have the beach.

I still had an awesome time in Vegas, and dont regret going, but I made the comment on my way out that I'm not sure I want to go back until things change. Also I was meeting a honey who lives in LA so one of us had to travel far regardless. But Vegas costs me $1,000 in airfare and everything else is more expensive compared to Biloxi where I can drive in half a day and food and things are half the price of Vegas or less, and still has all the same slots and table games etc, and still has pretty nice rooms. I couldnt tell much difference between my two trips other than scenery and Vegas cost me exponentially more money.

I followed your trip report and I'm 100% unsure what I want to do. I can go casino hop a few hours from here in a non hot spot, but no glitz and glamor of Vegas. I feel like the only thing to do in Vegas right now is gamble, and I can do that here with likely better odds while avoiding a hot spot.

That pretty much sums up my impression exactly. Unless you're in to travelling the outskirts for hiking in triple digit heat or shopping in slim pickin's, or basically going off strip to do things, the only things I found easily accessible were gambling, high priced meals with reservations, or paying for a cabana or lounger and hanging out at the pool. Everything else is closed, and there are transportation issues everywhere except Caesars Palace for some reason, but the catch is, although it's very easy to leave there in a cab, we found it is not so much easy to get back.

Ugh that stinks that you had to cancel. Hit them twice as hard when you return! I’ll happily order whatever your Cosmopolitan drink of choice is and feature it in my TR in your honor ! [emoji483]

Looking forward to visiting some of the other attractions/entertainment options. Haven't visited options such as the atomic museum, Mob Museum, madame Tussauds, Zak Bagan's haunted house and other attractions due to the steady supply of huge production shows, concerts, nightclubs in the past.

FYI, not 100% sure but if you made Seven Stars for the first time this year I believe you'd get the retreat/airfare reimbursement this year and next year. Not suggesting that alone should be a reason to take a trip you don't feel comfortable taking but I believe you're entitled to a retreat this year and next given that you went from Diamond as of February 1st to Seven Stars in 2020.

Edited to add: You also are entitled to receive, at least once, the $600 Diamond Plus airfare reimbursement.

Wearing it in NYC with 90 heat and 60 to 80% humidity is 10x worse. . . .

Would love to get the info on the 95 masks, if you don't mind sharing. :)

We were waffling some because of how things started out. However, the mask requirements and enforcement thereof are making us more comfortable in moving forward with our early August trip. Other factors that we see as a positive is that we are staying at the Wynn and will be there Sunday through Thursday. We are bringing our teenager along so it will be a different trip. For the first time in many visits, we will spend significant time at the pool. Due to cancelled trips and summer camp, we have a windfall that we will use toward this trip.

If things go to hell in a hand basket, our alternative will be Nemicolon.

That's kind of what I'm leaning towards. Only in 2020 would I choose fucking Iowa over Vegas lol

Thanks again @rooster42000! The other ones are "respirators" (that thing on the side) but I actually like these better because they are more structured and that, IMO, makes the masks much more comfortable to wear and in which to breath.

Sorry, meant to put it in my other post.

    envomask.com

It's really designed for people who have to wear them all the time. I ordered at the end of last week, I emailed before I ordered and their current lead time before shipping is 2 weeks. The filters can be used for a few days if you're not in an intensive infectious environment or one where it's gonna get clogged from other stuff.

Iowa sucks, but I didn't know it fucks too. I've lived there so I feel that I am qualified to say that.

With that said, I'm up to 99% roadtripping now.

Many thanks. Some friends call me "bubble girl" as I do wear them "all the time" :) though they are required all of the time in NY, including outside.

I'll pay a premium for comfort (along with the safety) and hadn't seen a lot of good deals. Thanks.
