Why the differences in CET freeplay rules across company

Title says it all.

Vegas table free play stays up on winners and keeps playing. It can be used without limits on which color on roulette, which side in craps etc.

philly uses a match play.

ac uses a direct bet with limits on types of even money bets. Comes down on either a winner or a loser- 1x use

New Orleans is similar to AC but they will not let you break it into different denominations where AC does. You must use it exactly as it prints out.

Any reason for the differences? Is it based upon local mgmt? State laws?

 

I play VP. It's ridiculous about the free play offers being based on the play at each casino. Example: when I'm in Vegas I get anything from $350 -$750 on a regular basis, that's at any casino but I have to go to the cashier and once I use it there that's my FP for the day/trip. In AC - I normally play at Caesar - e.g. this coming weekend I have $225 FP at Caesars AC - could be higher but let's use $225, at Harrah's I have $45 and Bally's $5. That amount is specific for each casino. I don't play much at either Harrah's or Bally's. However, I'm a 7* player and I normally stay and play at Caesars. Bally's is a walk of about 100 yards from Caesars and I won't go because of the insult of $5 FP, because one hand if I'm play 3-Play VP at a $1 won't even give me 1 hand. Instead of giving me an incentive to go play there - I feel insulted and I specifically don't play there because I believe that's the objective of Free Play is to make me want to have a few hands on them. Just dumb! Basically they use Free Play as a reward instead of incentive. Because I play at Caesars if I will get bounce-back for losses for about 90 days in addition to the FP. My host tells me to go to the cashier and he tells me the amount from a losing trip - it usually based on the amount lost.

 

What is bounce back? Is that something that hosts give? Is it only available for slot/vp and not tables?

 

Bounce back play is more common at locals/regionals, where one is likely to play a single day (or maybe two) every once in a while. About 2-3 days after your gaming day(s), the casino will send you some FP based on your action. The bounce back FP would be outside of any other offers you might have in your monthly mailer, and it would expire about 7-15 days after your most recent visit. The idea of bounce back play is to get you to visit more often than you otherwise might -- to play more and to spend more money on other amenities on property. Heed Admiral Ackbar's warning. Making that extra visit primarily because you have bounce back FP could cut into your enjoyment of your bigger, more planned visits if you do not play the same amount each and every gaming day.

CET seems to do bounce back as described above more than its other close peers, and it seems that they do it only outside of Vegas. I have seen a few people mention here on VMB that they even get it in AC. Indeed, this will vary by market. At the MGM regionals I have visited (National Harbor and Springfield), and also at the lone Wynncore regional near Boston, I have gotten bonus FP on maybe one or two specific days of a month on top of whatever is in the monthly mailer. In Vegas, I have heard that Cosmo has done bounce back as described above.

I get bounce back in Atlantic City. I do about 5 or 6 trips a year (most likely not this year). I normally do a two or three night trip, once in a while I do a day trip.
I usually get between ($300 - $600) bounce back in this is an addition to any free play. that I might have that trip. My host tells me how much I have and It's usually a return on some losses on a previous trip I usually have to come back within 60-90 days to get it. When I get it I have to go to the cashier and tell them they have money for me. They ask whether you're playing tables or slots/VP Iplay VP so I get tickets that the machine excepts.
BTW, I generally don't know whether I'm getting any prior to the trip. I'm sure that it's not a 15 day limit as mentioned above because I never return that soon after a trip.

 

To get bounce back offers- must you be a slot player? My host had previously told me it was for slot players only.

Could be both. Some gaming jurisdictions have rules that affect what casinos can offer and sometimes Caesar's is the operator and not the owner. For the tribal casinos, the tribes won't participate in some of the regular offerings.
