Ah "chase the royal". I've dabbled in it a little bit. Not enough to hit the royal though. They have a 6/5 Bonus game for as cheap as nickels at Ameristar St. Charles.

Looks like you guys had another awesome trip!

Just saw this post you put up. Did I text you this Royal pic just before I posted this or was you post just incredible timing?

Well VMB friends, JR and I are LIVE from quarantine as we watch The Bachelor: The Greatest Hits. Yes, JR got me hooked on this show when we met and while I was away I did have her PVR JoJo's season. Let me try and wrap this one up so we can make room for the other great Trip Reporters who are currently live. But first I want to shout out to @Not at the table Carlos (and crew) and @taylorb2380. Fun meeting up at Flamingo and Bellagio with you and your buds in Vegas. Might have been best that MB and I didn't meet up with you guys downtown. We might not have lived through it. And Taylor, it was good chatting with you and I was glas I was there when you hit that nice hand to give you some extra play money for the rest of your weekend. I hope you didn't give too much back. Stay safe out there.

So I will do a quick photo check to make sure I got it all in here. I won't post anymore quads on .25 though. I hit a lot of those that don't make it on here but sometimes I think I get repetitive.

This trip almost never happened due to border restrictions but I am glad MB and I decided to go. Promo's rally do work because if we hadn't had those $600 Diamond Vouchers, we would not have flown down. My flight from Calgary came in at $795 Canadian and I won't pay that much to fly to Vegas. MB had a flight only a little cheaper. But the reimbursement made it a go. Also, both MB and I can quarantine for work so this became a go for us. When you factor in the other up fronts, we had to make it a go. After the dust settled I had this stuff up front in total:

    Flight Credit: $600
Free Play: $300 (MB had $375)
Drink Vouchers 3 nights Ceasers X4@20: $240 ( I actually prefer these vouchers to Diamond Lounges at least during pool season)
Three Comped Nights in Augustus Tower???: $600ish
One Comped Night Four Queens $50
    Free Play Four Queens $40
Free Play at The D/Golden Gate: $50
Diamond Meal Voucher Used in Tahoe: $100
    Food Comp Credit Tahoe: $50
Drink Vouchers Tahoe 3 nights and 1 day X4@$12 (Vouchers in Tahoe are only worth $12 each)
Three nights comped Tahoe for We/Thur/Fri in July....$600ish? I say this because had I stayed in Tahoe on July 4th my rate was $109 and not even comped!
We can also throw in miscellaneous meal comps at 4Q and CET in Vegas/Tahoe for another $75-100. It is so low because I was barely eating.
No comp at Silver Legacy other than a casino rate on July 4th of $129 (they took off Resort fee..gee thanks) but they did give me 2 Royals and Aces w/kicker

So approximate total comps excluding the regular comp of bogus Resort Fees due to Diamond Status: $2900 with Resort fees that might otherwise be paid we are just over $3000. Now if we throw in drinks that would otherwise have been paid for...shall we call it 15 drinks a night (some beer/gin) at an average of $10 each shall we call it another $500-600? I would like to say that 15 drinks is on the conservative side in Vegas and both JR and I drank for free in Tahoe.

So we can safely say total comps on the front and the back for $3400 all in. Uncle Sam also still has $2325 of my money in W2's (that I won't likely get back for frikkin years) When we throw down with a win on top of all that, what I would suggest we have is a pretty darn good adventure and worth a little quarantine. Add in the incredible road trip through Nevada and California, oh baby...I will serve my quarantine time ANY day for all of that.

No we don't win in Vegas more often than not if we are being honest, but when we do and people ask us "Why do you like to go to Vegas so much?" Just nod at them and smile.

Thanks for following along. Might be awhile before we get back. I’m sceptical that we will still get to go to New Orleans is September but here’s hoping.

Oh ya!!!! Now it must be said that my wife is a fabulous woman but she is notorious for her lack of attention to punctuality.

Originally, I had booked flights for both of us to Oakland with an intent to go to Tahoe and fly home from Reno. So I had sent her the itinerary a couple times and the day before I sent the itinerary to her again so she could check in. However, JR might have forgotten to check in. I am usually the one to check us in but because I wouldn't be there, I had sent her the itinerary as previously mentioned. Now, before we go any further it must be said that I did phone her the night before and told I had sent the itinerary again and that she needed to be at the airport 90 minutes early just to avoid issues!

Well, she arrived 45 minutes early at the Kalispell airport and check in was closed. So I am at the Monterrey Pier all ready to make the drive to Oakland early on Wednesday morning and I get the news that even though it is a small airport, the gate is closed and they don't even have an ability to get her on the flight itinerary if they even wanted to. Or so they said. I assume it is true.

So after the dust settles on this, she goes to the Alaska counter and she actually got fairly lucky. She had a one way flight for about $500 she could hop onto that would get her to Reno in about the same amount of time it would take for me to drive there. So she bit the bullet and paid up the $500. An expensive lesson on arriving to the airport early just in case their are complications. Did I add that in her past, JR worked as a flight attendant for MULTIPLE airlines?!?!?

Thankfully, it all worked out. I picked her up in Reno and the rest was history as you can see....

Did you guys hear about the Covid fight in Caesars lobby or did @Not at the table Carlos , mention that in his trip report? Long story short, NATTC observed an incident that when he told me was a "Who Does That?" story. I would urge you to look into that TR as I am sure he put it in there.

Given your reluctance to relay the details of the fight w/ the 50 YO woman, it is becoming clear she kicked your posterior much as you did to the casinos. Feel free to tell us that you simply were being chivalrous and when you were crying "Make her stop, JR, Make her stop" you simply were going for verisimilitude.
Great TR and glad JR was able to find an alternative flight which worked out so well. Hope all your tests remain negative!

Thanks for the great trip report!! Staying home for 14 days that has to be hard. How do you go to the grocery store if you are not allowed out of the house? I would assume not exercising outdoors or even taking your dog for a walk.

How do they enforce it? Does a police officer sit in front of your house for 2 weeks. Or is it on the honor system that you will not leave for 2 weeks but who knows what most people would do.
