We had Ballys reserved and got moved to the Paris because it wasn't open at the beginning of our stay. We have friends who have a room for part of the stay and they haven't been moved. Our dates were 7/8-12 and theirs 7/10-12.........

I wouldn't read too much into it, I don't think there's been any news about Bally's re-opening and frankly, if you're scheduled to leave at the same time but they're getting in 2 days later, they're probably notifying people on a schedule beforehand and based on when their check-in was supposed to be.

Unless there's information about Bally's re-opening somewhere, which I don't think there is, I doubt this is a subtle hint from CET that Bally's is re-opening in 5 days (but I could be wrong).

A friend of mine is a pit boss at Bally’s and he hasn’t given me any indication that he’s set to go back to work. I’ve been holding off making our August reservation til he or my host give me some info on it opening. My group from high school always stays at Bally’s, one of the girls in the group is a fan of the dirty bird but the rest of us take a hard pass on it

    Happy birthday to me!
Let’s check Garth off my nieces bucket list!

My host told me last week that the hosts are incredibly busy moving people to open properties because closed properties are not opening as they originally thought they would. The demand just isn’t there. We were at Bally’s for mid-July and are now at Paris. I don’t expect anything more to be open by our dates (if we even go).

I love the Jr. Suite rooms at Bally's (two refrigerators!) and won't go back to Vegas until they re-open.

And I may not go back until the Laurel Lounges are open. We planned our whole evening out based on stopping in the Paris lounge for starter drinks. That lounge in Paris is definitely big enough to social distance. I think the new El Dorado leadership is wanting people to be on the casino floor gambling and not spend any time in the lounges at all.

They don't realize how much added pressure it is on the regular bartenders who are tending to bar customers, cocktail waitresses, and now all of us Diamond/7 Stars people lining up for drinks too. One at Harrah's Tahoe this weekend said it was "beyond nuts" and we left there on July 3rd before the big crush of people came in town. Certain it is even worse for the workers in Vegas.

    Two related stories.

    1. I have friends with reservations at Bally's 7/10-15 and they have already been notified they are getting moved to Paris. I suspect your friends didn't get the notification (email into Spam folder?) but they should call and confirm what the plan is.

    2. I have friends who THOUGHT they had reservations at Bally's last month, never heard anything, showed up, realized it was closed, made calls to CET, and realized their reservation was for June of 2021. You may want to make sure your friends haven't made a simple mistake like mine did.

Thank you Sonya. I didn't know that list existed. Must be stressful for the workers not knowing when/if they are coming back.

It's the case for property workers as well, even if open. For example, Aria only called back about 60 of their bartenders (total is about 200, between restaurants, retail bars, and service bars). Things are, and will continue to be, very much up in the air.

Since this is asked and answered and getting speculative, I'm going to close it to comments.
