I've gotten good benefits from Founders Card, but with the unknown short term future of Las Vegas, I am uncertain if I should cancel or renew. My membership ends in June 2020. If I cancel, will I lose Diamond status for the remainder of 2020?

From other posts previously, you will lose it within a month or two. Founders sends a list of cancellations to CET every month or so.

Our came up for renewal this last month.
We still paid. $295 annually for TWO of us is a DEAL. If you figure we get 2 diamond dinners, resort fees paid & 4 show tickets/month, ONE trip to Vegas/year & it at least pays for itself. Plus free drinks at our local casino.
Is there a chance we won't hit Vegas again this year? Definitely. (one reason we used both those diamond dinners in one trip on our "Coronovirus trip" 3/6-12)
But I know we can't get both of us for that price anymore; it is worth to pay for a year we may not use much for the long term.
    Heck, I'm a gambler...

Either in 2019 or 18 I delayed a bit in responding (no particular reason...opened the email, logged in, was interrupted) & they then began to send me emails with incentives to renew. I had gotten in several years ago on a $295/yr rate. And they offered me this rate with my husband FREE.
We use Founders card mostly for CET--two of us on diamond makes this a no brainer.
We may lose the $ this year but it is an investment for us, especially since we plan to move to Vegas in the next few years.

Before you cancel, match your diamond status from CET with Wyndham Rewards. Then, when you lose your diamond status from canceling your FoundersCard membership, you can match your Wyndham Rewards back to CET. :)

Came in yesterday to reply that I also experienced getting shut off from the CET Diamond within a week of cancelling my Founders Card. Never hit send on that, but came back today because I got an email offer this morning to rejoin for $99 for individual. Think I am going to jump on that immediately, even not knowing what the renewal rate will look like yet.

I've been cancelled for almost 2 yrs now - the marketing has been nonstop since then, but this by far the lowest I've seen them offer it and am considering rejoining if I get 1 trip to LV in while I have it for that low of a price. Wanted to share so you had some negotiating power if you wanted to try asking for it.

Since they are extending the Diamond status thru 2022....I probably will save the $495 and not renew in February.....I have matched with Wyndham
m Diamond & if all else fails....will match back from that Diamond...

I spoke with the president/founder of the company... upon cancelling the FoundersCard membership (or just not renewing it) they send CET termination the same day, and usually takes 1-7 days to process. If you re-enroll (after having previously having a membership and the TR upgrade) they will automatically re-request for you without having to sign up again - this takes 2-4 weeks to complete.

I am not confident that Diamond card holders who earned their 2020 Diamond status solely through Founders Card will automatically be extended Diamond status through January 2022 if they do not renew their Founders Card through January 2022 as well (which would also assume that Founders Card continues their relationship with Caesars through January 2022). If someone knows the answer to this, it would be very helpful for Founders Card members.

Also, relatedly, if we have earned 2020 Caesars Diamond status solely through the Wyndham status match, does anyone know if that means we automatically keep Caesars Diamond through January 2022 now?

I apologize if these questions have been answered somewhere else on the forum before, I have not seen it.

Here's my experience. My wife who is a natural Diamond is extended through 2022, me - a FC Diamond am dated 2021. My 2022 status will be dependent on my signing up for FC again, but I will only do so at a steep discount.

I'm curious about this too. Someone sent an email asking about status extensions for FC cardholders and was told they wouldn't extend status until Jan 22 for those who matched from a 3rd party. Since Wyndham is considered a 3rd party as well, it seems like they will not extend status to those people too? If so, might be best to use the Celebration Dinners before the end of the year...

We made it a point to use our celebration dinners the last couple of trips to Tahoe, and also tried our best to spend down our RC points as well.

My Diamond status thru Founders is still in place after the 2/1 updates....not sure if it will last after my renewal date in March tho. They still want to charge me $495....crazy....world wide pandemic & unable to hardly use anything....have seen others post they were able to renew at $295.......any insight?

You could consider emailing [email protected] with your name and member #, and tell them that you wish to cancel your membership. They may offer you something in return if you don't cancel your membership.

However, I think you may need to be fully willing to follow through with cancelling to have a better chance at getting such an offer.

I'm just now looking into this card. @KKB were you able to sign up and add two people or that was a later renew offer with this card?

I have been receiving e-mail offering that I could sign up for the Founders Card.

Am I correct in assuming that when you talk about "Diamond" status that it is the lowest level of Diamond?

Does the 15% off best-advertised rate on rooms and suites include promotional rates?

Is there anything else that makes the Founder's card worth the cost while in Vegas?

Founder's Club gets you the lowest level of Diamond and ZERO TCs. For non-gamblers that stay at CET casinos, divide the cost of Founder's card by $35 (or) so and that is the number of nights that you'd need to stay to "break even".

The $100 Diamond celebration dinner also adds to the return on the $99 investment.
