I'm all about 6-handed, goes quicker, slightly wider opening range, etc. I don't mind playing in 6-handed tournaments at all. I can't say I've played 6-handed cash game often, short of times when multiple players got up for breaks at the same time, or games that were short of bodies later at night.

The sooner they can get it back to 9-handed though, the better off poker will be as a whole. At that point you could even look at having the WSOP again, albeit with some additional restrictions.

Venetian only had the $100 SNGs the first weekend.
Today & tomorrow they are doing an 80 player $250 shootout.
    They are doing $220 SNGs 12-6 6/23-25.

Sunday the 7th I played a $115 SNG at South Point. (5 handed)
Had to wait for the SNG before us to finish before beginning.
Waited about 45 min; sounds like it lasted about 90 min.
    You start w/ 7500 chips & 10 min. blinds, only 1 BB.
My pocket 9s ran into pocket Ks w/ a nice low flop. Didn't figure a guy would make a 5xBB raise w/ Ks...
I didn't stick around cuz I toss $20s in VP machines while waiting...VP wasn't doing much for me at that point.
Worked out later in the week especially at Bellagio Sportsbook bar...

The Bellagio poker room plexiglass is very neat. A one-piece construction that sits on the table - no table fixings.

The side table for drinks provides the social distancing. The cocktail waitress doesn't need to get close to deliver the drink; just place it in the outermost drinks holder, and she can stay 6 feet away from the player.

They're making the best of a bad situation.

Don't touch your face, and wash your hands.

Otherwise we're going to be stuck online until 2056 :evillaugh:

ARIA to Reopen Poker with 6-handed Games:
    https://www.reviewjournal.com/sports/poker/aria-poker-room-to-reopen-with-6-handed-play-2064665/

The Aria poker room will reopen Wednesday with plexiglass dividers and six-handed games, an MGM Resorts spokesman confirmed.

The setup will be akin to its MGM sister property the Bellagio, which reopened with plexiglass June 18. That has allowed the Bellagio to host six-handed games, giving it an edge over the other open poker rooms in Las Vegas, which have been limited to five players per table without plexiglass, per the state Gaming Control Board.

The Orleans and Sahara Las Vegas have said they plan to install the dividers soon to go to six-handed.

The Aria poker room will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week with 14 tables available for play. Only cash games will be allowed, not tournaments.

No spectators will be allowed in the poker room, the spokesman said. Food is also banned for the time being.

not a Vegas casino but the poker room at the Tampa Hard Rock was pretty thorough. Masks must be worn. Had the 6 max plexiglass divider. Everytime you sat down at the table the dealer had to spray sanitizer in your hand before they would deal again, and every 30 minutes or so they would do a quick spray of the chips in the dealers rack and then take them out to wipe the tray down. I liked it overall.

Multitable tournaments are returning to Las Vegas poker rooms.

The South Point brought back its daily tournaments Monday. The room will host events at 10 a.m., 2 p.m., 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. every day.

Most tournaments are $60 buy-in No-limit Hold’em events. No-limit Hold’em deepstack events with a $125 buy-in will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The room will also host $60 buy-in Omaha High-Low tournaments at 2 p.m. Tuesday and Friday.

    South Point:

Caesars Palace started hosting $150 buy-in tournaments last week at 11 a.m. Thursday through Sunday.

The South Point and Caesars Palace are using five-handed tables, per guidelines from the state Gaming Control Board.

The Venetian has been hosting multitable tournaments, but in a shootout format in which players must defeat their entire table before being moved to the next table. The room has been hosting $300 shootout tournaments for a maximum of 80 players (16 five-handed tables to start) at 11:10 a.m. Friday and Saturday.

The Venetian is also hosting $230 single-table tournaments from noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Tournaments begin as soon as five players have registered.
