So this is a REALLY good point, it is a double-edged sword, but my theory is we are here to have fun, right? That said I've hit Aces Kicker on both $5 Boner Deluxe (at Flamingo) which amounts to an $8,000 loss vs DDB, and on $2 Deuces Wild (At Cosmo) which amounts to a $3,960 loss vs DDB. I've also hit deuces a bunch lately on bonus deluxe. For me the biggest killer is natural quads on deuces wild. Everything else I can get over cause still a big win.

I've found a good compromise which is how I play now---I play my base game Bonus Poker Deluxe and if I get dealt 2 deuces on any hand, I will switch to Deuces Wild for the next 3 hands. If I get dealt 2 Aces on any hand, I'll switch to DDB for the next 3 hands. It keeps me primarily in my base game but makes it kinda fun.

Gaggles like to play multi hand at lower denom and Bonus Poker at higher demon shooting for royals. I don't like multi-hand and I don't like the variance of the kicker games, so I play Bonus Poker Deluxe. I feel like every quad becomes a premium, just without kicker. I tracked for a year and I came out tens of thousands ahead. I'm playing a mix of $2 and $5 lately, so a $2,000 payoff for quad 7's or Q's is really nice vs a $1,250. And it is so rare that I would get the $4,000 kicker payoffs. The Aces-Kicker is always a major nutjack though. Also I play waaaay less VP than Gaggles, mixing in other games and just less overall play. It is really interesting that there is more than one way to have fun and you can get to a really similar coin in and comp profile with two vastly different approaches on the same games.

I'm always astonished at the time people take out of their game play to take pictures and post them here. I just wanna keep playing!

Is cocktail service normal right now? We are heading to Tahoe in a few weeks.

When you dine at Friday's ask for Stephany for your waitress; she's a sweetheart and damn good at her job.

Cocktail service has been hit and miss in the pits. Bar tops seem to close early around here but I’m not sure what a normal Thursday in July looks like here?

I have had to hit the “Service” button multiple times on this trip to get a drink though.

Stopped be TR kiosk to get my daily drink tix. Window pops up saying I currently have 384 entries in to win a Mustang Convertible. Wouldn’t that cap a lucky trip! Not sure if that’s a lot of entries or this contest has millions in it but never tell me the odds!!! Or do, if you know????

Craps min right now $25. BJ is $15. Getting busier. We are just deciding what to do after a breakfast walkabout.

Gaggles, Harrahs/Harveys Tahoe is our home casino. We were there for 2 days and just left. You couldn't even walk around that place if this was a normal July 4th. In some ways you are lucky to be there now. The crowds drove me out of there last July 4th.

We talked to some of the cocktail waitresses on this trip and they have only brought about 40% staff back. We do know where to sit for the best service though. And we know all of them too which helps.

Friday's is fabulous and I hope you get a decent view. We ate at Hell's Kitchen last night and I thought it was better than Gordon Ramsey Steakhouse in Vegas. Hard to get in though, even for us.

I'm praying that the virus won't close these casinos down again and what might happen in the fall. Vegas will always be Vegas, but this area relies alot on people driving in from NorCal.

Oh, and I think it's going to be busy there tonight. We passed at least 1000 cars driving up the hill on our way home. Stay safe and Good Luck!

Thanks for that. We are just poolside at Harvey’s after a day at Baldwin Beach? I think that’s what it was called.

So today was a nice relaxing day. After breakfast we got mobile and drive to Emerald Bay to see the beach and go for a hike around 2:00. Wait, let me restate that. We got to the entrance of Emerald Bay. Place was packed and no entry.

So we grabbed a close beach we hadn’t been to yet. I think Baldwin Beach? Really long beach.

Someone was feeling it so much....they needed a little visit to see The Sandman. This might be the first time I’ve ever seen a sober person sleeping under a picnic table.

So while JR was sleeping, I hung out with some friends. These guys were pretty fearless. I think if I would have had food I could have hand fed them.

Might be worth ringing Grand Lodge Casino in Incline Village (North Tahoe, 30m drive from where you’re at) to see what their craps minimums are. I remember seeing them at $5 or $10 or so on the weekend that I was there.
