Hertz car rental is in bankruptcy proceedings and also owns Dollar/Thrifty via acquisition a number of years ago. When they announced the bankruptcy filing in May they laid off 16,000 employees and started selling vehicles to get cash.

OP rented from Dollar or Thrifty and with the staff and car inventory reductions their rental process is very unstable right now.

So far, two 1ks, one 2k, and one 4k. And other smaller wins.

Congrats! I play half slots/half VP and in the 5 years since playing VP have never had a Royal. I play alot of the 10 draw games too. Heading to Tahoe this week so maybe on this trip.

    Final comments:

I overplayed and on last morning, and lost and lost. Should have just rested. Oh well, Came home $4000 ahead!

Car rental via Thrifty/Hertz was $97 all in, I had a Kia Sorento. Never made it to M Resort, so only drove less than 80 miles.
As reported, HERTZ in bankruptcy...best not to rent from Thrifty/Dollar or Hertz for a while, as its a clusterfluck at the Rental Center!

Since I hit 2 royals, I played ALOT more than I ever did. Prior play this much, under the old players club, would have bumped me up to Emerald again.
I played VP 2.50 and UP, and slots 2.50 and up. With the new program and tiers, I started out at 675 TC and ended up at 7151 TC.
I am not really sure if this play warranted me anything else, as my room was comped and I had $30 Food.

I had a $46 food bill at checkout, no $30 CR, so wanted to see Host to see if I could get it removed. However, no host until Noon.
So, I played more and lost, and got breakfast at Aloha Specialties. When host was available, I asked. Since I was automatically checked out, she said she had to revert the charges.
Alas, when I rechecked my points later, there were reduced by 20,418 points. And I only ate at The Cal. So, maybe it looks like she adjusted my points for the food?

On my count (and I was tracking daily) I started TC at 675 and ended at 7151, as mentioned above.
My points started at 227 and ended at 289,331 (my count) and per website 268,913
I played ALOT during the 11x and 2x promos.

I played NO WHERE ELSE, but an hour at GG, as it was just to hot when I was up, and I did not get to bed until 4-6 am ea morning.

A note about GG/Golden Gates: I posted more on this incident on the GG Drinking Tickets thread. Totally disrespectful (IMO) employees! I think they lost me as a customer.

    Comments Re: Affects of Pandemic:
Temp checks upon arrival, at every door. PA announcements every morning about masks, and security tapped you if not covered all the way. Sometimes it got a little hot w/mask on, but I wore it.
No valet service, you had to self park. Need Handicap parking spaces on 1st level.
2Q room on floor 13! The pool floor. I think it was closed.
No Housekeeping (I still left $10), No magazines, no pens, no paper, no Ice bucket. No vending machines, nor Ice Machines. I do believe one could have order ice, as I saw another room had a bucket outside the room.
DIning: Cafe... paper menus, limited hours, No condiments on counter or tables (you have to ask!) Noodle House and Redwood closed. Aloha...open 8 to 8. Drink fountain still open, but NO refills. HOTTEST coffee ever! Did not go cold on me, and I drank from it for awhile.
Gaming floor: ALL machines ON, but some chairs just removed. So, you could move them to whatever machine you wanted. Worked for me!
Cocktail service: all good except once, and then she did bring me doubles! Tracy is a doll! I will tip her well. As it was, I tipped at least $2-3 each time.

Other than the heat, I had a Grand time (4k worth), and am planning on returning on Aug.1, for a friends 74th Birthday. (who has been very sickly)
And yes, I will be staying here again, 4 nights comps, $50 FP, $30 Food.
If I play just as much in Aug, I hope I make Emerald then in my long October trip.
