Great report. Considering the crowds I see on the tv, I'm amazed you could stay distanced.

Great report Richard. You were only about 15 miles from nancyf at Ormond by The Sea.
Mice that the whole family could travel together. Your wife must be a very special person to manage all that and the clothing needs.

Just caught up to this. Nice report! Do you not have Steak n Shakes where you live though? I could take you to a few to help cure your addiction. Last time I went there, I learned they took Vegetable Soup off the menu. We actually walked out.

Now cracker barrel, we had that for the first time in a long time last week. First real sitdown experience in 3+ months. Now that was pretty damn good.

Thank you very much, @mr.vegas! This was a warm-up TR for our upcoming Vegas one!

@jgates8 We waited for you by the orange moose!
Thanks for reading! Things are pretty quiet around here, which is great!

Please stay safe down there. Hopefully we can do a Wisconsin VMB Meet & Greet sometime! :D

Thank you, Don! It was definitely a different feel to Orlando this time!

Thank you, @flyguyfl! My bride and I honeymooned at Ormond Beach so that area is always fun to visit!

Great that the minions can pack their own bags. The room at Orlando had a washer & dryer. We brought enough Tide pods and Bounce sheets to keep up with the laundry.

Lol- thanks Richard. People are probably going what the heck are they talking about with an orange moose! I’m getting gusty and going to HC tomorrow night for my 1st gambling in 3 months. Limited occupancy & masks required. Fingers crossed.

We are hundreds of miles from one, @tringlomane! We car-shopped near Iowa City because they had a Steak 'N Shake. It really hit the spot! :feedme: The car turned out to be pretty good, too... :D

    Thanks for reading!

Finally caught up with this TR. Thanks for sharing! What a fun trip. I do sometimes miss the days when my kids were little, going to Disney World, etc. But then I slap myself and I'm better!! LOL

So glad you guys had an amazing family trip Richard!!! :D Reminds me of family trips as a kid, with the Sea World and the beach..... but being from San Diego we didn't have Steak 'N Shake (are the shakes good?), or Cracker Barrel or that Cheddars place (but it sounds adorable. Plus I love cheese). :feedme:

Hope the kiddos had an amazing time! I bet the animals missed you when you were gone ;)

    Thanks for taking us along!

Thank you, @Astribling! The minions really enjoyed it, and their folks did too. They're growing up too fast!

The shakes are heaven  in a cup, @luck.ofthe.draw!

Everyone had a great time. The cats and dog were happy that we returned! However they are wondering why we didn't get them any shoes. The dog claims she specifically requested a pair of Reebarks. :D

Thank you very much for reading my report. I hope my next one will be in the Vegas TR section! :headbang:

I'm not gonna lie, I wish I could go back in time and be an Alpert Minion. Great report, as always!

@Richard Alpert Nice report as always.
Just curious, has your school district made a decision what the Fall semester will look like?

Thank you so much, @Lorraine!

Thank you, @Happygirl21! :D I'm so glad we are able to travel and to give the minions these opportunities. I never had that opportunity when I was young. (That was one of the few downsides of growing up on a family farm. :cowboy:)

Thanks, @Joe! The school has a three-level plan to enact based on what things are like in the area come mid-August. Could be a masked and distanced in-person experience. Could be half the students going e/o day. Or could be all online to start the year.

It's going to be a different experience. That's for sure. School is the safest place to be for a lot of our students. Even in these times!
