Renoir at Mirage was wonderful, but I think it was in the shadow of Picasso at Bellagio.

We also loved the silly Bacchanal---not the buffet, but the fancy restaurant with multi courses. Ceasar and his handmaidens would visit each table and the females would give the men a neck rub. It was fun.

Yeah, yeah - I know...the food was mediocre, and there was smoking permitted at most tables... but I was always comped (including alcohol), the Keno girls were all young & gorgeous, and you could enjoy an after-meal smoke without having to leave... ;)

Another vote for the Cortez Room at Gold Coast. Another vote for Flame/Roberta's at the El Cortez. And I'll throw in a vote for the Great Moments Room at the (Las) Vegas Club.

It's funny -- in a good way -- seeing what constitutes "past" for all of us.

Vital Vegas raved about the place and it was on my "to visit" list for at least a year or two. I finally made it there the last week it opened. #regrets.

Haha... I was going to preface my post with that.

The name was changed after a fire destroyed the original. Then the properties were taken for the Venetian.
Rosewood Grill moved down near MGM and was affiliated with Alan Alberts Steakhouse.

I think I'm going to be the first one to mention a buffet.....:p

It qualifies as a restaurant doesn't it? If not, sorry!

But I miss the Rio Village Seafood Buffet, in the days when it was awesome, not when it was dying a slow, sad death.

It truly was a seafood buffet, not just a buffet that offers a couple of seafood dishes then call itself a buffet. I remember I was just about stuffed and was ready to throw in the towel until I passed the fresh raw oysters on a mountainous bed of ice...….

OMG, I didn't know I still had room in my stomach. My wife was telling me to slow down or I'll get sick. All I could do was give a shit faced grin! The oysters were really good for me to remember 13 years later.:)

Actually, I always thought it was very good. Of course I'm sure I had a number of beverages before I went each time. :
