So we cancelled our dinner at Allegro and decided to just get some in room dining tonight. I really wasn’t in the mood for Italian. We kind of snacked a little all day, as we used our $50 TS breakfast credit at The Cafe to get a blueberry muffin, a giant croissant, a strawberry yogurt parfait, and a fruit cup with pineapples, coconut, strawberries, and Blueberries.

I did play some more BJ this afternoon, probably a little over an hour and a half. Bought in for $500 initially, betting $25-50, didn’t win a single hand on the first shoe. Was down to $25 At the end of it. The dealer was super sweet but she was just en fuego, making 21’s out of 15’s and 16’s like a Fake ID Saleswoman. I felt really bad because the two other guys at the table started losing as well on the shoe that I sat down at. It was on a shuffle, and they were nice guys, but it sucked watching their chip stacks dwindle like mine. Went to the ATM at the shuffle along with another guy and came back and bought in a fresh $500. Wouldn’t you know, same stuff starts happening. But then we got lucky and the dealer went on break. I was down to about $100 out of $1000 total between original and rebuy. New dealer started breaking here and there and not winning every single hand. Started raising bets to the occasional $75-$100, and get back to $850 or so. Original dealer comes back from break and whatever she ate on break broke her spell because we could actually win a couple hands. I turned my bets more conservative as as that point I was just trying to get back to even or a little better. End up with $1050 when my wife came and found me after looking around at the stores. Make one last $50 bet, lose, and color up with one yellow chip.

after the loss at slots this morning that wiped out most of my running blackjack win, and then my miraculous comeback this afternoon, I am happy to report that I am even with Wynn right now.

Tonight is our last night here before moving to the B tomorrow. This is certainly the nicest suite we’ve ever stayed in so we figured we could do some in room dining and then I will probably wander off for some gambling while Mrs Kachow goes to bed a little early, but we shall see. The night is young.

We've walked from bellagio to cosmo with our luggage before and it's a super easy walk. Probably quicker than an uber as well. When you walk out the main doors of bellagio, go right and there's an escalator that takes you up to the covered walkway, down the escalator at the strip and you're pretty much at the entrance of cosmo and you then just have to walk to the check in towards the back. I'd say a quick 8 minute walk at most.

I agree. I took a cab from Ballys to Cosmo at Thanksgiving cause I had a wicked blister on my foot from the night before. I think the fare was around $5 and I gave the driver a $10 and he was super grateful for making $10 in about 180 seconds.

Pretty uneventful night. Got about 3 hours of $50 min bet BJ in. Was constantly up and down a bit. Bought in for $1000 and the best my pile ever got was $1200, but hovered between $400-700 most of the time. Managed to lose my whole buy in with a very poor run to end the night. Now I’m back up in the suite and getting ready for bed. I’ll update you guys with pictures from Bellagio once we get checked in over there tomorrow!

We went to Encore goodies on demand to use our TS breakfast credit. Neither of us are huge breakfast eaters so we don’t ever go to the fancy places and we use the credit to get something small and something we can just munch on during the day when we get hungry. This morning we split a bacon egg and cheese burrito, it was ok but I’m not a fan of wet eggs and the eggs were still sort of wet in the middle. No biggie though. I also go a large cold brew and Mrs Kachow got a scone and some sort of smoothie with berries, almond milk, and kefir in it. She liked it. We are now at the pool, there are definitely more people here than yesterday morning, but still plenty of open lounger pairs. The proportion of kids here at Wynn is pretty high right now. Not a negative, just an observation.

FYI if anybody is wondering what table min bets are for Wynn, I have observed the following this morning after taking a spin around the floor before heading to the pool.

Double zero Roulette: $25 min $500 max on one table, $15 min $500 max on another
    UTH: $15 min $500 max
    3 card Poker $15 min $500 max
    Crazy 4 Poker $15 min $500 max
    6:5 BJ $15 min $5K max
    3:2 Bj Dealer hits S17 $25 min $10K max
    3:2 BJ Dealer Stands S17 $100 min
    Casino War $15 min
Craps: $25 min $5K max and $100 min $5K max

There is a an elevator in the Jockey Club garage that puts you right on the Cosmo casino floor. That shaves quite a bit of distance from walking all the way out to the strip. Especially since the Bellagio's covered walkway often has broken escalators at one end or the other. A knowledgeable cabbie would probably cut through this way (even though I think it is one-way traffic). Google says 1001 ft. So < 5 minutes walk.

Ok, just checked out of Wynn and caught a cab over to Bellagio. There were no cabs waiting so the attendant called a cab for us. We waited about 10 minutes and the cab arrived. The driver hopped out and did some sanitizing before we jumped in and she drove us down the strip to Bellagio. I took a few pictures along the way just to help my fellow Vegas addicts get their fix. One thing we have found at Bellagio is their Bell service has always been super fast and friendly and today was no different. We walked in and there was no thermal camera setup like Wynn but there were plenty of employees and people around, mask wearing 100%. The chairman lounge was closed. I normally check in there when we stay in a PH in Bellagio even though it’s not included with that room anymore and they’ve never given me and grief. So we got in line to check in with an attendant. There weren’t too many people in line, but there were a lot of people walking in and around the lobby to Bellagio as is normal.

We also had to get temp screened by a guy with a handheld and asked some cursory medical questions about how we feel in order to get in line. I had a little sweat on my brow so I had to wipe it in order to get a good read because it made my temp below the acceptable range. It wasn’t a big hassle but it was a lot more in your face than the Wynncore.

We waited less than 5 minutes to get checked in, there were 4 or 5 front desk clerks working so they moved people through pretty efficiently. We got a nice fellow named Jimmy for our attendant and I asked him if we could possibly get a smoking room. He spent probably 5 minutes on the phone and sure enough he scored us one. There was only one that was available for checkin. This was a very pleasant surprise as I had called earlier in the day to try and request one and the lady on the phone told us 100% we would not get one. So I slipped Jimmy a $20 for his effort and we hit the elevators off the hallway next Petrossian bar (which had a piano player Playing) And headed up to the 35th floor. I’ll attach pictures of the room in the next post.

The room is exactly like other penthouses we have stayed in here except the view is phenomenal and we can’t wait to see the fountain shows at night. The view was $60 extra per night, but their rates were so low compared to normal that it was certainly worth it. The rooms show their age a little in comparison to Wynncore rooms but that doesn’t bother me a bit. It’s a Terrific value for the money. The only ding they get was a moldy bowl of fruit in the fridge these suites have for personal use but I sent that back down with the bellman who brought our bags. One thing I noticed was they still had an ice bucket here. I have no idea if the ice machines are available due to Covid but Wynn had removed their ice buckets. Also they have actual glass glasses whereas Wynn has gone 100% single use for cups etc.

Bellagio has a nicer Covid amenity kit than Wynn had. 3612474F-3419-4009-A78F-3ED93B6C4688.jpeg

After getting settled in the room, we Headed downtown because I wanted to try Carson Kitchen for lunch and also to get some blackjack in at El Cortez. Mrs Kachow got a mystery cocktail with some kind of Nevada vodka in it after telling the waitress/bartender that she “likes Tito’s and nothing too swee and so Felicia whipped this up for her which she says tastes really good.

Another great room! Did you have any delay getting Uber/Lyft or a taxi to go downtown?
