The Tower Suites at Wynncore come with two items per person per day complimentary press. If it wasn’t included we would definitely do it ourselves but it is a very nice little perk.

Before dinner, we stopped down and ran a quick $300 through the Heavens Bell game. No bonuses so we lost that $300 quick but that was fine because we needed to get to dinner. We had dinner at Lakeside, and Mrs Kachow got a Cocktail at parasol down, I think it was called A Pear-a-Sol. She enjoyed it a lot. Dinner was good, but not great. Started off with the Grilled Tiger Prawns which were very good. Mrs Kachow has the Jidori Chicken and I had the Roasted Sea Bass for entrees, and we got the truffle whipped potatoes for a side. The potatoes were sort of lukewarm, but very tasty. I enjoyed my fish, and Mrs Kachow enjoyed the chicken, but it wasn’t an incredibly memorable meal.

Afterwards, I hit the Same blackjack table i was at earlier only now it was $50 minimum. I bought in with $800 and lost my first 4 hands to go down $200 but was able to make it back up to about $1350. I lit a smoke right as things started going bad and was told pretty quickly to only remove the mask to take a puff. That was fine, but I took it as an omen to leave as at that point I had moved to $125 a hand and lost two in a row. I was still up $300 from buy-in which coincided nicely with the lost we had taken on the slots before dinner, so it was perfect timing to go to the suite and spend some quality time with Mrs Kachow. Went to bed around midnight.

We are both super early risers at home which is 2 hours ahead of Vegas, so we were back up at about 4am. We ordered some room service coffee and each drank about two cups and then headed down to hit some penny slots for an hour or so. We played some quick hit, some kind of buffalo game, some dragon spin, and some 25 cent monopoly. Dragon spin is usually reliable for me but we sunk about $360 into that game and didn’t hit the dragon spins once and got the little egg bonus thing 4 times and got the $20 smallest bonus each time. I think the biggest hit of our slot jaunt this morning was about $60, we were playing max bets on the machines anywhere from $2.50 to 4.50 for max. We gave back most of my blackjack winnings but we had a ton of fun and felt like we had the casino to ourselves.

Plan for today is figure out what we are doing for breakfast, then probably hit the Tower Suites pool, then we aren’t really sure. I may play some more blackjack here or we may head downtown to do some low rolling. We have dinner reservations at Allegro at 7. We also feel that since we splurged for this suite, we are going to spend most of the Wynn two nights portion of this trip here at Wynncore before checking out and checking into Bellagio tomorrow.

I should be able to update later today if there’s anything notable going on. Thanks for reading along guys! The broken conch certainly doesn’t bother either of us, just didn’t want to be held liable for it so we let the staff know. They apologized but I tried to tell them it didn’t have any negative impact on our stay, but please don’t charge us for it.

Thanks for the information. It was pretty cool looking. I didn’t realize there was a fire at mt Charleston. Yesterday and last night were very windy and tons of dust in the air. The wind has calmed down now and it looks like a normal Vegas morning. image.jpg

I’ve read so many trip reports and figured it was about time I repaid the favor and gave The VMB’ers something to help satisfy their Vegas Jonesing. We are having a great time so far and really appreciate all the well wishes as well as the positive feedback on the report so far. Furthermore, I learned what a pyrocumulous could was from this report! We are at the Wynn pool now. They are no longer requiring reservations like they were when they first opened. It’s first come first serve. We entered through the TS lobby and there were maybe 6 people ahead of us to get in when it opened at 9. There are plenty of available loungers right now, and I imagine there will be most of the day as it’s a Monday. Cocktail waitress has been by twice already in 20 minutes, so I imagine getting drinks out here would be easy. We are still sipping on our cold brews from the cafe this morning though. We probably won’t be out here more than an hour or so.

I've never been one to care about room type or quality, but I have to say I am envious of your current situation. I would be so dead asleep in that Wynn bed right now.

I'm loving this report. Thanks for the room, food and pool porn -- now it's time for one of you to post a jackpot photo!

Edited to ask if they gave you hard-copy menus or if you had to pull it up on your phone....?

Hard copy single use menus were given to us at Lakeside. They also had a QR code for people who preferred not to be given a menu. There is no longer a hard copy in room dining menu, or maybe the one from this room is just missing. There is an in room dining menu available on the TV though.

Wanted to add that while I’m certainly not that big of a gambler, I’m just like you in the way that I’d spend a lot on a nice room without hesitating - I love being able to hang out with the wife and just kill some time taking a long shower, watching TV,.. especially, being from Europe, we also take 10-day trips, and I just couldn’t be drunk and degen gambling all trip long.

So yes, keep the nice room-pics coming! :D

That's pretty cool - the pilot. He's been flying exactly as long as I've been alive.

I have a question, having never stayed in Cosmo before, and never actually goin fm in their main entrance, just the strip side entrances, what would be the best way to get us and our bags to Cosmopolitan for checkin on Friday lunchtime? Normally we just grab a cab when we move hotels but the hotels are right next to each other. Would it be frowned on to use a cab for such a close trip so we aren’t dragging all of our stuff?

Kachow no, it is not frowned on. I would just tip extra for the convenience. Great report btw. Happy anniversary to you and your gal.
