Is the bar seating spaced out a bit more than usual? Last time I literally couldn’t take a bite without elbowing the lady next to me.

Yes it is. They have four barstools now two on each side of the bar with space in the middle.

That drink looked AWFULLY pink. You’re not planning on being a contraband delivery service are you?? Abort!! Go with a 2nd PINK drink and a clear conscience for TSA

May have made a slight miscalculation. Took @bubbakitty advice and ordered one last pink drink. There is a shocking amount of grey goose in this cup. Might need a nap on the flight.

Always enjoy following your reports...but no Skyline?

Back to the room to pack up. This trip was too short. And things aren’t nearly back to normal, but I still had a fabulous time. Hoping to come back for a longer trip at the end of July pending the progression of the zombie apocalypse.

I didn’t keep great track, but I lost around $200 on random slotting around over the weekend. Did a pocket dump and am leaving up $550 in cash on hand. I call that a successful trip.

And, most importantly, the pink drink has been transferred to a Lyft appropriate cup for the ride to the airport.

sniff. No. Not this time. No rental car. And lyft/ubers are pretty unreliable at the moment. Next trip I’ll be there for sure.

And won $150 slotting around in airport. Going home up $700 is even better.

    Some random thoughts:
    • Vegas isn’t back. If you come primarily for gambling you’ll probably be ok. If dining and shows are important to you - you might want to hold off.
    • The temp check/ID checks/turnstiles around Fremont and the downtown casinos aren’t particularly onerous. But lines backed up at busy times. And the hassle probably did prevent me from popping in and out as much as I normally do.
    • Friday night and Saturday night were busy in Fremont Street although not necessarily in the casinos. The rest of the time was pretty dead.
    • Some of the casinos are offering some great promos right now - Four Queens and Binion’s are open to everyone which is nice.
    • Transportation - Uber/lyft are hard to come by with long waits. My Uber driver from airport told me to book my car back in advance. Glad I did. When I went down ten minutes before the start of my pickup window I double checked - no Ubers available and a 30 minute wait for a lyft. So make sure you have a backup plan and/or leave extra time.

$160 coin-in per ticket? That's WORSE than COSMO!!! :bang::bang::bang:

But if you want people to social distance from the bar, a drink metering system is a good way to do it...

How much coin in per drink ticket is it at Cosmopolitan?
Also at GG can you combine drink tickets to increase the comp drink value like at Cosmo?

Exhibit C of the Derek Stevens organization beginning to big-time even more than the Golden Nugget. (Renovations and new casinos don't pay for themselves.) We really could (and should) break off a new thread just on that.

Per @tringlomane about 16 months ago, it's $125 coin-in for the first drink (just over 20 points; 25 hands), $150 for the second drink (another 25 points; 30 more hands), and then we need more data points from other customers for subsequent drinks. At a pace of 600 hands per hour and playing $1 denom (and always five coins) -- 2.5 minutes for the first ticket, and 3 more minutes for the second ticket. Multiply those times by four if you are a quarter player. If you are at a more leisurely 400 hands per hour and playing quarters, expect the first drink ticket at 15 minutes and the second 18 minutes after that. More discussion on GG in the targeted post on this topic.

Am I the only one who saw this image and immediately thought:

You’re the authority on Skyline. Would kill for an update on that place.

I may have not remembered correctly but thought you get a drink as you sit down as well? Maybe the same process at other casino bars?

Hopefully no, ha. I was drinking, I mean thinking what a +EV drinking move. I guess I’m more focused on feeding my need for drink.

You do get a drink when sitting down and starting to play. I didn't even load any money - just downloaded my FP to the machine. Bartender was super nice and seemed annoyed by the ticket policy. She said if they had to have something, she would have preferred the green light/red light system.

The red light/green light is definitely better for players like me. The thresholds seem more lenient and dynamic.
