Just noticed in my CET app that the AC room offers at least are now coming in again.

I took a bike ride along the boardwalk this morning, quite a few stores are open. Several restaurants have set up tables on the boardwalk to provide waitress service: Rainforest Cafe, Bungalow Beach Bar. Bally’s beach bar is still closed, but Harry’s in front of Bally’s Dennis Tower is open and looked pretty lively.

Nothing is open at Ocean, Hard Rock or Caesars. Wet Willies at Resorts had a short line for take out slushy drinks. Landshark was open and that’s probably where I’d go for a quick meal since they can roll up the doors and let the breeze blow through. I didn’t notice anything open at Tropicana.

Many of the casinos generate electric at power plants away from the boardwalk, as well as hot and chilled water to supply heat and cooling. I’m guessing that this may be the reason why some Casino restaurants may not be open.

But one place has been open for a few weeks and recently offered waitress service, so I had to oblige and get a liter of
    Weihenstephaner Hefe-Weissbier.

I guess my own question was answered as Caesars emailed today saying that there will be 5X reward credits and 5X tier credits through July 31st in Atlantic City.

A cold beer on a hot day with the breeze blowing on the boardwalk. Does it get better than that?!

I received this email from CET yesterday.

    Dear oghuman,

On behalf of our entire team at Caesars Entertainment, we hope you and your loved ones are well. For so many of us, these challenging times have put into perspective the things we miss most about creating memories with you - our loyal Caesars Rewards guests in Atlantic City. While our doors were closed, we missed hearing the sounds of our bustling restaurants, the spinning of our roulette wheels, and the joyful excitement of a jackpot or craps roll. But, most of all, we missed seeing the smiling faces of our guests, and sharing the lasting memories we've created together at our resorts. We've missed you, and can't wait to welcome you back!

As we look to brighter days ahead, we are thrilled to announce that all three of our properties - Bally's, Caesars, and Harrah's Resort Atlantic City - will reopen to the public on Friday, July 3 at 10am. You can expect the following enhancements and benefits when you return:

    • An updated Caesars Rewards program that makes it easier to enjoy your benefits
    • 5X earning on Tier Credits and 5X Reward Credits® through July 31st
    • Great offers that will make your visit even more enjoyable
    • Free modification/cancellation of any reservation until 3 p.m. on day of arrival
Rest assured, we've spent the last several months developing our Caesars Entertainment health and safety protocols, which enhance our existing plans and practices in these areas. Our priority is the health and well-being of our guests and team members, while creating a fun and enjoyable experience, emphasizing physical distancing and cleanliness. The enhanced health and safety protocols include more frequent cleaning and sanitation, physical distancing measures, and screenings and temperature checks for our team members.

Below is a glimpse into our reopening plan next week at each resort, including our health and safety plan and a summary of the amenities available at each resort. Our team has been working hard, complying with directives issued by New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy, local government officials, and public health authorities, to make enhancements to our casinos. We have rearranged slot machine banks to allow for appropriate social distancing, and fewer seats will allow for better spacing at table games. Additionally, all hospitality offerings & restaurants will reopen adhering to a reduced capacity and with social distancing practices in place. Complete hours of operation can be found on our website at Caesars.com.

    Health & Safety Summary:
    • All team members and guests must wear masks at all times, except when eating or drinking

    • Hand sanitizer stations will be placed throughout our properties and team members will offer hand sanitizer to guests regularly.

    • We have developed new cleaning and sanitation protocols covering all areas from guest room cleaning to kitchens.

    • Team members will encourage guests to follow appropriate physical distancing by arranging waiting lines accordingly and limiting occupancy as necessary.

    • As part of a health sceening program for all Caesars team members, each will complete a questionnaire about their health prior to returning to work. Additionally, temperature checks will be conducted for every Caesars team member before every shift.
    • Slot machines will be configured to allow for physical distancing and will be cleaned and disinfected frequently.
    • The number of players will be limited at table games and frequent sanitizing equipment, cards and dice will occur at all table games.
    • At our restaurants and bars, tables will be arranged to allow for appropriate physical distancing and large parties will be limited.
    • Pool chairs, loungers and cabanas will be arranged to allow for appropriate physical distancing and will be cleaned and disinfected frequently.
    • Additional amenities, such as our fitness centers and spas will open on future dates, as part of a phased approach that will comply with government directives.

I got the same email on Friday and yesterday/Saturday received a shorter one saying that as a Seven Stars member I and three of my guests could visit the property starting Thursday. July 2nd. I would need to show my Seven Stars card to gain admission on the 2nd.

I would love to be there over the July 4th weekend but I think I will let the dust settle and check it out in a few weeks.

I am glad CET is doing the 5x RC and TC multipliers through July 31st in AC.

I am very frustrated. As a 7 star I didn’t get several of the emails from cet Vegas. I missed emails from New Orleans, philly, and Atlantic City. I have absolutely no idea why this is happening. I have checked my email preferences everything looks normal.

Twin River Holdings is buying Bally’s AC for $25 million and it has been reported that the purchase will close in the fourth quarter 2020. Even in its run down condition, that is a bargain. Regulators in NJ have to take a look at Twin River and the hedge fund behind it before they approve the deal. I think the only thing that would keep this from happening is if the NJ Casino Control Commission doesn’t like the Background of the owners of Twin River.

So until then, it will be business as usual. I just hope the new owner will replace a few of the blue windows in the Jubilee tower with its iconic pink glass.

At one time Bally’s AC was a top property, but the increased competition (in AC and surrounding states) and the CET Bankruptcy caused a lack of investment over the years which resulted in its current worn out condition.

For those interested, here’s a look back at Bally’s over the years. https://www.pressofatlanticcity.com/gallery/gallery-look-back-at-ballys-atlantic-city/collection_60273c60-c23a-5dc0-aba4-43d22fc53ce3.html#8

For what it's worth, I got it from New Orleans and AC but it was just a form email/letter and not personalized or from my host (who I've yet to hear from since March). I think the 5XTC and RC applies to everyone so if you are planning on hitting Philly or AC, which I would imagine you are based on your locality, then you should definitely be good to go insofar as utilizing the promo. CET is all over the place with their emails, I've yet to receive a confirmation email of hotel stays for 4 years, yet I get the junk mail constantly lol

Yeah, I've been noticing that the offers are beginning to tick up for markets outside of Vegas as well. Was hoping AC offers, in addition to rooms, will start to tick up in the coming days. So far, I'm only seeing free rooms for AC.

I got the July 2nd invite also. I didn't see a mention if that was also and overnight stay or not. In any case, I'm going to let them get some of the kinks out before I go. Though I think I'll probably go down at least a couple weeks later. I had a March Vegas trip I had to cancel, and I'm chomping at the bit to push some real VP buttons.

This is what I was referring to, several windows were replaced with blue tinted glass instead of pink.

Also, Bally’s Beach Bar is open and still has daily specials. Today it was St. Archer Light for $5.50. No bar stools, but you can walk up and buy a drink at the bar or have table service.

while the casinos can open on july 2 it appears the caesars gang chose to go on july 3 at 10 am for all 3 properties
checked with Borgata and they will open on july 6 at 6 am
checked with resorts and they will open july 2 at 8 am
did not check others as my play is limited to the above

So, at this time, if I go to the AC boardwalk can I get into any of the casino structures to use the bathroom?

That’s a good question, it seems as if all the casinos are still locked up. I know there are several public bathrooms along the boardwalk and places like Harry’s, Landshark, Bally’s Beach Bar must have bathrooms. There is a tequila bar called Loteria a couple blocks south of Resorts. At Showboat, there’s the Surf Bar. Around Tropicana, there is Biergarten, Bungalow Beach Bar, and near Caesars there is Rainforest Cafe. The Deck at Golden Nugget is open. Out by Gardner’s Basin is the Back Bay Ale House. Just off the boardwalk is the Tennessee Ave Beer Hall and Bourre, all of these places have outdoor dining and serve drinks, so they have to have facilities.
