    You're crazy! :D
Going from ~9,000 positive cases to ~15,000 positive cases in three weeks reads like a spike to me. But maybe we have differing definitions of "spike."

The chart from the media organization includes additional data which is important.

I don’t find it difficult to distance at The Plaza as it was dead Thursday night. I’m heading over to the D after dinner at Oscar’s Steakhouse, I presume it might be more difficult there.

From the chart, looks like cases dropped yesterday and dropped more today, which is a good sign.

Be careful how you interpret the data. Without knowing all the details of how the data was gathered it can be very miss-leading. For instance Racine County Wisconsin made national news a few weeks ago for largest daily increases in positive cases. A closer look showed it was the result of opening free testing. Numbers are back down below where it was before "spike" even with businesses starting to open up.

That being said I think anyone with health risk factors should reconsider.

Not to get off topic from the original post but Pre-covid, I would just valet at Golden Gate on the south side of the casino. I am pretty sure it’s free even if you aren’t staying there since they have never asked for room number, room key, etc.

There is complimentary parking at The Plaza. Just drive up to the ticket machine, push button for ticket, and find a spot. As you leave, just exit, the arm will come up automatically at the booth.

It's all about hospitalizations. We are experiencing a bad spike in California once again and the real reason I'm concerned is that ICU and acute care beds are nearing depletion.

Even though the offers from Plaza is what got me out there this weekend, I had $7k coin-in at the D in a day. They had a much larger slot selection that I like, the vibe when playing BJ is also much more upbeat. The best way I could describe is like a really fun wedding with open bar and food, or a funeral with charcuterie.

I also took the time to walk through The Cal as I wanted to try Aloha Specialties, which isn’t great when compared to L&L or Aloha Kitchen. There was one person playing BJ, rest of tables were empty. Binions is a dump, I don’t know why anyone would go there. It’s like walking into an old country restaurant that hasn’t been cared for in 30 years.

Will, I like and agree with your description of Binions. I can find a reason to visit almost every property downtown but there's nothing redeeming about that place. Once it was about a good gambling value now the vibe is home made tattoos.

Thanks, this is good info. I have historically stayed at DTG on my DT trips because I like the quiet OPTION to retire in. But I like being able to escape the quiet to play someplace more upbeat. I use it as my base of operations, and will play a bit there each morning while I'm waking up and then late at night if I want something a bit more quiet. But I find myself playing mostly at the D and the GG for the superior bars with TV's for sports, louder vibe and more varied game options.

I am worried that this trip DTG will be even more dead and that I will want to be in what little action there is. So I've double booked DTG and the D. The problem I'm having is the service I get at DTG is 100x better than what I have gotten at the D. My host at the DTG is super responsive and even though I don't make any special requests he always answers all of my questions. I can't even get my host at the D to respond to an email. So I really hate not staying DTG - but the D has what I am looking for in terms of gambling. VP bar with lots of tvs for sports, craps tables where I'm not alone all the time until 6pm, a real sportsbook wagering area with VP, SIGMA DERBY (and the modern alternative).

Maybe I check into both and just see what happens?

Second Street in Fremont, oh wait never mind, it hasn't reopened. Binion's, maybe the Top Of at sunset if you have never been, but the food is OK at best.

If you're staying at Binions they will give you a parking pass. Just tell them you have a vehicle and it's no big deal

MSS is still closed, I think Boyd is waiting for the Hawaiians before they open it. Everywhere else DT is open.

I think you have the right idea double booking, we doubled Cal and Plaza, those spots, as well as DTG were what I would say "deadish" inside evenings (non weekend),

for more action, anywhere actually on Fremont was much busier, (and difficult to get on a table), we also like staying some place quieter and being able to leave the "action".

Cal had all the craps tables closed 2 nights, maybe 3 BJ tables up,
DTG had the craps table up and maybe one BJ table,
Plaza was like a ghost town, no craps (all shut down now), and maybe 3 emptyish BJ tables.

I'd say cocktail service was a bit slow, but still offered. Find the right waitress, tip big, she may come around a little faster..

This was based on our tue-sat 6/27/20 trip .

Binions has a good promotion running in July. Check out their website.
