Minion #1 only likes indoor pools. He was okay. He had an entire whirlpool suite to himself!

    Thank you, GG! :D

You're welcome! Thank you for stopping by to read it!

Thank you! We had a fantastic time!

Thank you, @Drewm1972! We had room for all those shoes and didn't lose any on the way home!

    12 pairs! :faint:

8 for the minions, 3 for my bride, and they surprised me with a pair of Nikes. :peace:

I appreciate it! Thank you!

    Thank you so much!

Thank you, @jamesxnj! :D We were glad we were able to go. The minions are looking forward to Vegas as soon as possible, especially since we couldn't do our Easter trip this spring.

Now that would be an Ickey Shuffle!

Thank you, @FormallyTD! I look forward to the day when our walkabout paths cross!

    Thank you, @ffejry!
We found lots of great times! :biker:

Thank you, @TrewBrew! I bet you had some great trips!

Thank you, @pressitagain! The minions love to travel!

    Thank you, @UKFanatic! :D

Thank you, @thecarve! Minion #2 has been saying that he misses Steak 'N Shake :feedme: already!

Thank you, @rooster42000! :D I felt really cool having my awesome bride and our minions as my entourage!

We're so obsessed with Steak 'N Shake that an intervention may be necessary. If so, I hope someone shows up with a #29 with a large Oreo cookies and cream shake. (And let's upgrade to the parmesan fries, please!)

Thank you for stopping by to read, @jpw711!

    Thank you, @NCAAHoops!
King James didn't show up. I win by forfeit! :trophy:

Thank you, @amk121! We're back to real life, but we will cherish memories of our trip for a long time! :D

I will give you a heads-up when our 2021 road trip itinerary is finalized, @Johnzimbo!

Thank you for reading my TR!

    Will you adopt me?

Says the woman who is probably old enough to be your mom :). What an awesome trip! I’m slightly jealous. My family growing up never took vacations. You get my vote for dad of the year! Thanks for sharing it with us.

Well done Mr. Alpert, you made an 11 day family vacation feel like a long weekend when reading it - I wanted more. Amazing cooperation from the minions for a 6 am departure. That was a lotta, lotta pizza - loved all the pics.

I missed you by two days in Nashville, left there Friday after a week of readying my sisters house for sale, a real challenge maintaining social distancing during the process. Agree Nashville traffic will slow you down.

Glad you’re home safe and more good memories to recall during those snowed in days in the winter!

Awesome trip report. Love your humor and you seem like a great dad. There is nothing like a memory making trip with the family, it never gets old. If it's not to personal, what is the age range of your kids? I have two boys, 29 and 27, I just got back from a golf trip with my oldest, we had a great time

We did both! Thank you, @DaiLun! :D

Lots of exercise around Alpert Acres! :cowboy:

They were just having a little fun with me! It sure got the minions' attention...

Thank you, @JosieCat! We'll have to rough-in a new bedroom in the basement for you before beginning adoption proceedings!

Thank you for your kind words, @nancyf!

Thank you, @Geogran! I've been hoping to hear that you're doing well! :peace:

Thank you, @Mzctbb! I give the Dad gig my best shot! The minions are 16, 14, and 13.

Damn, can you adopt me? I'll be a formidable Minion #4. Shout outs to the multiple Crackerbarrel stops, but I've been a lifelong Cheddar's fan (used to go to location #2 almost weekly whilst growing up) and I hope Darden restaurants acquiring them hasn't made them too bad. Hope you had a good meal there.

Hopefully after all the Cracker Barrel meals no one pulled a @FormallyTD and shat on the bathroom wall.

LOL I remember having a Diet Mountain Dew incident at the Coke museum... contraband :evillaugh:

Thanks for the TR - I don’t drive for medical/safety reasons, so technology or life circumstances are going to have to change a lot, but the whole “big road trip” thing does sound enticing :)

Thank you for sharing your trip report, Mr. Alpert. In these trying and stressful times, it's so refreshing to read about family trip reports and the fun adventures they shared. And it's wonderful that you've encountered likewise people along the way!

Sharing your family trip has lifted my spirits amidst all the gloom that seems to dominate our world. Your trip and the people you've met shows there is hope on the horizon and everything will eventually work out for the better.

So glad that you and your family had a great time! By the way, do you have enough room on your shoe rack for all the new additions? :)

    Thanks again for the report!

We're looking at Vegas in August and could use a Minion #4. We'll be backpacking it so hopefully no shoe shopping occurs...
Cheddar's was great! :feedme: I had the maple bacon chicken sandwich.

    Thanks for reading, @progrocker2112! :headbang:

    Thank you, @fabriano! :D I appreciate it!

    So far so good!

    Thank you, @3OfDiamonds!

Two shoe racks, a laundry basket, and a large Rubbermaid container. And a line-up by the door. :faint: Not quite Imelda Marcos numbers, but getting there! We definitely have a lot of sole!

Thank you, @Electroguy563! We are excited to travel a little more coming up in August! :D

Thank you, Gus! I appreciate that you took the time to read my TR!

Hello......you forgot to pick me up on the way by!!!! Wonderful report.

I kept waiting for a Waffle House stop. But I love Steak & Shake and Cracker Barrel too!!

I’m a bit surprised at the vehicle social distancing. As long as no one is getting in or out of the vehicle next to you at the same time seems a bit odd to me.

How are things up by you? We have had been very lucky in Jackson County - 26 total cases (1 death, 24 recovered, 1 new yesterday). A bit more of a nightmare in LaCrosse area.

    Easter again..:
