Well the coupon run has hit a snag. Silver Nugget is boarded up. Lucky Club has no table games on the floor. Aliante has 3 blackjack tables and 1 craps table open, but all are full. Waited 10 minutes for a spot so far to use matchplays. Not waiting much longer. Trying AZ Charlie’s Decatur next before giving up and returning the car to Golden Nugget. That’s when I’ll start my boozing.

Although I did hit this on my free play at Jerry’s Nugget.

Wade and Waldo taking a break from the coupon run for 2-for-1 at Magnolias in 4 Queens. I needed the break, up and down on the coupons; at least I’m up 50.

 

Whew!!! What a damn day. Awake at 5:00am eastern time. It’s now almost 10:00pm Vegas time. I’ve driven nearly 130 miles across the desert and back on the coupon run. Did very well on the run. Went to El Cortez, DTG, Four Queens....at that point Wade and Waldo stopped for Magnolias. I decided to trek back to the room, but stopped to do $25 matchplay once inside Golden Gate. Won it!!

That makes +$275 on the coupon run so far! Waldo lost $200 out of his wallet.....,until I found it on the table in the room. Silly fella. Had my first beverage of the trip inside El Cortez. Got an ice cold bud light while using $25 matchplay from Southwest boarding pass. Also made $15 on the $10 free play at Ike’s bar. Talked to a couple locals...,used my free drink coupon from SW voucher on a jack and ginger.

Awful service for me here at Plaza bar. But I’m drinking and hanging out with bartender Steven. QUAD TIME!!

I'm flying out to Vegas tomorrow night - staying downtown for the weekend and really, really jonesing to get there. It sounds like I'm going to miss you guys by a day downtown, but I'm still following along because your hijinks are way better than my Vegas norm.
