How I read it the casino floor are at 25% capacity, but the casino hotels can be booked at 100%? Getting food on the weekends could be challenging at only 25% capacity.

I won't be going for awhile as I don't drive and am not ready to get on a bus yet. But this is fantastic news.

This is good to hear. @vegas superfan I don't drive, either, but fortunately can take a train. Will still be a while for me, though, just with logistics.

There is a thread already in the "Non Vegas Chat" subforum, but thought I'd also post the info here as well. AC casinos allowed to open next Thursday at 25 percent capacity. Does that mean two seats per blackjack and four players per craps?

After they have a month or so to get situated I will likely be driving up for a weekend. Love AC and love the people there.

Amazing! Great approach! Looking forward to getting there and enjoying the AC area beaches and casinos. You mean no "we kinda-sorta advise you to maybe think about wearing a mask"? ;-)

Gov Murphy said New Jersey casino patrons will have to abide by a requirement that is not being used at every casino that has reopened thus far: All guests and employees will have to wear face masks and undergo some level of health screening.

“If any visitor refuses to comply with these simple safeguards, you will be escorted out of the casino,” the governor said. “We are not going to tolerate any knuckleheads trying to ruin it for those who want to enjoy themselves responsibly and those who need to get back to work, especially if those knuckleheads could be spreading Covid.”

25% capacity sounds ridiculous to me. They must really be hurting financially to push to open at such a low amount. Some of the properties might not end up making a profit.

I do wish all casinos would take the approach of mandatory masks and screenings though. I'd give AC a visit and some of my money if I was closer.

25% capacity for the casino but because it is summer the hotels will be full.

Oh I didn't realize the hotels could operate at 100%. That seems like it might cause some issues if it's really busy. They will be sending guests to gamble their money elsewhere. I hope everything works out well.

Today is when NJ hotels could begin operating at full capacity. They are also allowed to open their pools today.

As Smerrian said at first the “off hours” might be the best time to hit the casino floor.

I wonder if we in NJ Will get the same 5X tier and reward credits at the CET Hotels in A.C for a month as they got in Las Vegas. I would hope so as we were not open for the month of June. Maybe they already know that people will flock there in the summer, especially after being shut in for so long, and will pull back on the offers, but I'd like to get a chance to churn some credits at Harrah's at 5X's

Gov Murphy announced today that AC casinos can open on July 2. I'm sure there will be lots of restrictions (25% capacity, masks required) but it's still good news. Now if people can behave themselves.....

Here is the full Press Release from MGM, the part about dining is excerpted below:

DINING – Enjoy a selection of Borgata’s dining venues, including Angeline by Michael Symon, Old Homestead Steak House, Moneyline Bar & Book, Borgata Beer Garden, Bread + Butter, Borgata Baking Company, Starbucks, and The Marketplace. Guests will utilize digital innovations such as QR codes for menus and text messaging for reservations.

There is no mention of Metropolitan, which is one of my faves.

Last night we had dinner at a place that used a QR code for a menu, it was actually pretty awesome thanks to my wife having her iPhone at the ready. I have yet to figure out how to scan a QR code with my BlackBerry Classic.

Many of the local restaurants in AC have opened up with outdoor dining in their parking lots. Angelo’s Fairmont Tavern, Vagabond, Docks Oyster House, Tennessee Ave. Beer Hall, Bourre all have tables, some with umbrellas. The Deck at Golden Nugget is also open. So if you bring your boat, you can dock it for your stay.

Actually, quite a few people visit AC in the summer as a family beach vacation, they are not big gamblers. I have noticed when visiting AC in the summer where there will be tons of people walking through the casino to the hotel room but the gambling tables will be mostly empty, especially in the middle of the day.

Good question. I don't have the old email handy, but the 5x points for first month email that I received in April or early May, I think, was for CET in general, not just for Nevada. I would think we'd be getting emails about the opening soon that will have the safety rules spelled out, and any promos.

it looks like Borgata will be open 24/7 for gaming, no mention of closing for deep cleaning.

Here is the announcement from Ocean
