Can anyone who has been on the strip recently comment on lines for elevators? My family and I are staying one night this coming weekend and staying at NYNY. We're hoping to mobile check in and use the phone as a key to skip the check in lines. I'm just curious if the lines for elevators are ridiculous. Reddit gave mixed messaging but I trust this board way more than reddit for accuracy. Thanks!
I stayed at NYNY June 10-15. I used the elevators quite a bit, going back and forth to the casino or to eat. There were a couple of times when there were a lot of people getting on elevators, but the longest time I had to wait was maybe 3 or 4 minutes. This was the New Yorker tower, I can't comment on the other towers, but I don't remember seeing any long lines at the other towers.
Awesome, thanks for the input! I'm hopeful it's not too bad as we'll have our three kids with us and we mostly want to keep them out of the way of others.
I haven't stayed there but have passed through a bunch of times in the last couple weeks. I can't recall ever seeing a real line, maybe a couple people waiting (and you could probably cram more people into that elevator, but everyone's trying to be good about distancing). EDIT: I haven't stayed there recently. I did, but a while back.
We have stayed there a number of times when running normal. Never more than a minute or so for an elevator. Nothing that I even though of as a wait. Now that they are at much lower capacity, it should be less people using the elevators.
I was there last Tuesday-Friday. Elevators were moving well and I never waited too long. I was pleasantly surprised.
We stayed there in Feb. Not sure which tower it was, but the elevators spit you put close to where you go upstairs for the coaster. 4 elevators there and they were always busy. We waited forever after a Vegas Knights game to get up to our room. What is the other tower and is it as busy to get up to your room?
I had a comped room at bellagio and used the mobile check in and it gave me a room on the fourth floor
I stayed at NYNY for one night in July. Used mobile check in and got a room on the 32nd floor in the Empire tower (to the left of the check in desk near the pool entrance). There was never a line at all (and there are only two elevators that service that tower, it’s smaller). So I’d try to get a room in the Empire tower If I were you.
