I'm not sure exactly where to put this, so I apologize if this isn't the right room.

I know most/many rooms in Vegas don't have coffee makers (which to me seems odd because caffeine fuels your ability and desire to get out of your room). I am not a die-hard coffee drinker but I do have one cup every morning as soon as I wake up. For those of you who need your coffee but don't want/like to venture out to get it Forest thing in the morning, what are your solutions? I know there's room service but I would definitely not order it for just coffee and I don't eat breakfast, so. Any thoughts are very welcome! FWIW my room at Paris *does* have a mini fridge that I can use (not a mini bar but an actual fridge for guest use.)

    Thanks everyone...:blowkiss:

Since a lot of hotels did away with coffee makers, due to health dept regs on daily cleaning, I either run down and bring a cup back or wait for breakfast. Many have talked about traveling with one or a k cup type. I'm don't care for k cups since they're not strong enough for me. I have considered stopping by Walmart for a cheap CM, but I won't go for just that. Most hotels I stay at (DT and locals) usually have a stand I can make a quick RT to.

The D does not, but the coffee stand is right by the elevators.

Not sure about any of them post COVID-19.

The "easy way out" solution for this is to simply buy a handful of bottled cold brew coffees, like the one pictured below... and keep them cold in your room's fridge (which in this case you have), or in a bucket of ice that you fill up before you go to bed if you have no fridge. You'll have absolutely no trouble finding something like this at a Walgreens or CVS.

As far as hot coffee goes, the "generally accepted" way about doing it unfortunately seems to be just buying a $10 or $15 coffee maker and leaving it behind at the end of your trip. I'd personally avoid doing this both for environmental reasons, and because you'd still have to source filters/ground coffee/cups/etc.

I drink coffee all day long and travel a ton for work so always have a few of these in my bag for emergency. They are not the best, but they will get me by until I can get something else. They are individual "shots" of coffee concentrate that you mix with water. I'll usually squirt one in my coconut water. That, or I'll stop at a Walgreens/CVS and grab a few of the individual sbux, high brew, etc.

I either get my coffee at McDonald's if eating breakfast or at their 2nd floor bar while playing VP - typically have 2-3 Bailey's and coffees while playing for an hour plus, great way to start the day.

I admire your constitution. If I had 2-3 coffees with Bailey's in an hour I would be in major party mode and regretting it later. I need to improve my morning drinking game before I go!

I love to have fresh hot coffee in my room each morning and a little bit of extra trouble is worth it to me, so that I don't have to get dressed and leave my room before want to. If you aren't checking a bag, this won't work....but I use a carry on bag to pack a coffee maker and supplies, which I check through. I fly SW almost exclusively, so there is no charge to check the carry on. I use the original packaging that came with the coffee maker so there is no breakage. I buy a gallon of plain bottled drinking water when I arrive. To a non-coffee drinker, this probably sounds ridiculous, but I'm thoroughly and hopelessly addicted to my morning coffee. For me, nothing satisfies me like a fresh cup of my favorite coffee, without getting dressed, without waiting in line, and without overpaying.

Unfortunately I'm flying Sprit. I have one personal item and one carry on (which I paid for). I actually looked into some small one-cup pod brewers, but they still will take up too much space. Your plan doesn't sound ridiculous to me at all. I'm only a one-cup morning coffee drinker but I love my hot morning coffee first-thing.

I am also one who NEEDS a cup of coffee before leaving the room. I found a very small single cup coffee maker that I pack along on long trips, or I bring or purchase once there some of the cold brew coffee. I think with the current COVID situation, I probably wouldn't feel safe using a coffee maker even if the room had one.

At Paris, if you can stand the cold coffee, like @notfromconcentrate suggested, you can get that right out the front door and to your right at the conveniently located CVS and you will have a fridge in your room unless they've removed them for health reasons.

Alternatively, I tend to get very good drink service in most casinos early in the morning. Throw on whatever and go play a dirt cheap video poker machine and you can get hot coffee comped on the floor. If you dont want to just buy some.

Tiffy, could a gadget like this be helpful? With one of these you'd need nothing more than some disposable coffee cups (which you could probably tip a bartender to get a few of) and some instant coffee.

I purchased the exact collapsible pot above for my Europe trip/cruise last fall. It worked great and now I take it to Vegas. I tried almost every instant coffee that is made and found the Starbucks House Blend VIA is the one that smells and tastes most like brewed coffee. It's hard to find the House Blend but worth it.

BTW, I love staying at Paris/Bally's because the CVS is right there. My husband runs down there while I'm checking in to pick up water and half n half. I'm also a water snob too.

Long before in-room coffee makers were pretty much standard, I brought a sturdy (non-melting) plastic cup, an immersion heater (both from the dollar store), and a zip lock bag of instant coffee along with packets of nondairy creamer and sweetener. For sure, I prefer "real" coffee, but I also prefer hot coffee before shower and getting dressed. I always say I'll get the good stuff once I go down, but always start off with a screwdriver or similar morning drink instead. By the time it's safe to go back, I hope the coffee makers will be too. If not, it will be instant time once again.

I'm weird... I start the brewing right before I get in the shower so that I can come out to a fresh hot cup :)

Room service. They will bring a whole pot of coffee, if you like.
