I'm traveling Spirit Airlines out to Vegas and arriving in the afternoon. After I get settled in my room at Paris I want to head out and get some basic toiletries (I paid for a carry on bag but I think I have too much stuff, I think, to leave room for toiletries ). Where is a place that I won't pay crazy prices for some basics? Needs to be walkable. Thanks for any and all help!

CVS is right on the corner . Walk out the front door and turn right.

In addition to the CVS next door, there is also a Walgreens in front of Planet Hollywood. Depending on your preferences. :)

Or you could just have Instacart deliver to your room.

I have used InstaCart in Vegas downtown. It is simple. I would create an instant account at home and download the app to your phone. You can place the order before you leave and select a delivery time. IT is usually a two-hour window. Each hotel is a bit different and maybe now with COVID even more. But basically, they will pull up and you will meet them at a set spot get your stuff and away you go. I do not think they can bring to your room but so simple. Want to save a few bucks sign up for the trail for free delivery for so many days then cancel

One other thing I did once to save money and time was I purchased my stuff at home. A week or so ahead of time shipped it as cheap as possible to the hotel. It was there waiting for me. Cheap, no need to go shopping or wait for delivery

One last thing about InstaCart they do have a minimum I think 35 bucks. But you can also order some snacks with it so you are totally set.

Amazon Prime Now also works (if they are still doing it). However it is so fast to CVS- I go out the door by the sportsbook, down the bus/Uber alley & walk in. Even with my short legs I’d say 4 minutes to CVS door???

Another option is to use Amazon and have stuff delivered to your hotel.

You can have stuff delivered to your hotel? How does that work? What if it arrives before you're checked in?

They generally will not (or cannot) deliver to your room. The main issue is that they'd have to park, they can't just leave their car for a few minutes outside; then they'd have to hike up to the room. Instacart also has very high fees. I would strongly recommend just going to the CVS or Walgreens right downstairs, as you're going to have to meet them downstairs anyway.

I would not pay all the fees for any delivery service when CVS is so close and you can get just the products you need ( plus any other goodies you spot while there). The time you spend during that two hour window waiting for the driver would be several times longer than it would take for you to go to the store yourself.

Since we usually stay at PH, my wife and I always have a Walgreens list ready for items we maybe didn't want to pack or no room to pack.
Its one of the first things we do when we arrive.
I don't believe the CVS next to Paris is as large.
We did previously look into the Amazon delivery and each hotel handles it differently and some possibly have a fee.
The convenience just walking to get what we need is hard to beat.

You set a date. However, I agree that it's probably better to simply go to the CVS or Walgreens and pick stuff up. I had stuff delivered to Ballys- the bell desk called me and told me to come get it. I wanted to meet the driver and give him/her a tip, but he/she literally dropped off the bag and vamoosed. This was a few years ago- there is a thread here somewhere on exactly how to do it, but good luck finding it! I've never seen a search function work!

I wouldn't mind using Instacart for one time use for essential things like a case of water, some Gatorade, a case of beer (or two), iced coffee, and some snacks. As a solo traveler, it would take multiple trips to do this.

I am a solo traveler and that is why I use Instacart it cost more but how much depends, I get water, snack food, plus other stuff I need in one trip. As for Amazon, Amazon Prime and Walmart next day free shipping I have had stuff from Amazon sent to my hotels in Vegas and other places I travel to. I never had a problem I set it up to get to the hotel the day before I do and I just pick it up usually from the Bell desk, Front desk, or business center depending on the hotel. In the end, many options for you to pick from depending on your needs. Just relax get your stuff and go enjoy Vegas is my mantra

While it is true that instacart might not be for everyone, you can also use the service when you get home and they do make things easier. There are others like Shipt. Most have a good trial period to try them out. Go to your app or play store and download the app and it will tell you the offers they have and you decide. If you place an order at target in Las Vegas they use shipt. I’ve used both before and I like shipt.
