We have seen that Mlife and Caesars Rewards have reduced the number of tier credits for tier progression by 20 percent for 2020. I have not heard of Cosmo doing similar for Identity. I just happened to notice that V/P reduced the Grazie status point threshold to make Gold in 2020 to 15k, down from the usual 20k. Quite generous of Sands to have reduced the threshold by 25 percent. Might anyone know the 2020 threshold for Platinum?

@ardee I already checked, double-checked, and quadruple-checked the FAQ to see if there was any information about temporary changes for 2020. I also strategically Googled for the relevant information (to no avail), and I also scoured my email in case I may have missed an announcement over the past two months. My source on this is my own Grazie account as seen online. I have zero play with V/P thus far in 2020, and my account indicates that I am 15000 status points away from going from base level (Grazie) to Gold. I seek two goals with this thread, which would also be to the benefit of others (as this is a unique thread right now on VMB):
    • confirmation of others at base (Grazie) level that it is indeed 15k points to make it to Gold in 2020 -- especially confirmation from those who have gotten less than 15k status points thus far in 2020
    • confirmation from someone who is Grazie Gold how many total status points it would take to get to Grazie Platinum

    Understood, @Julian C.

I don't often mention my Vegas casino contacts on the board because I don't have traditional hosts.
I asked about the numbers and was told it still stands at 175,000 for Platinum until further updates.
We all know that could change in a heartbeat these days. Just trying to help.

I'm not Plat. I have been Ven/Palz Gold for many years. I had One trip to Palz earlier this year & made 10k tier so far.

But, Doubt I will be returning to Vegas this year, unless it gets really safe, which I haven't seen evidence of....o_O

So like you, I scoured the websites & emails trying to find evidence of Will they let us keep our Tier Level?
    Didn't see anything, anywhere, either.

So I sent an email to my old host asking if Ven/Palz would honor our Level into next year, under the circumstances?
He basically told me, for you I will. :ssst:

Maybe will have luck contacting thru a Host?

Ven/Palz seems to be slow moving on this.... I think tier should be extended like CET & others.
There will be others like me that might Not be back this year.
And to be honest, if my tier drops due to the pandemic? I will be done with them.

    Julian -

I see what you're talking about. I was Gold last year at V/P. Haven't stayed there in 2020 either. When I log into Grazie it shows I am Gold and have 0 status points. It says 'points to next level', 15,000, 'next card level', Platinum. If I check in with my host I'll post an update.

I just got further confirmation via email from Venetian. For the rest of 2020, Gold is 15k status points and Platinum is 130k status points. As per usual, status earned/retained this calendar year is good through the end of next calendar year. Tier thresholds return to normal (20k Gold, 175k Platinum) in 2021.
