It's not the cases that they are discovering that I am concerned about, it's the cases that they are missing!

And can you imagine trying to perform contact tracing on a casino guest who ends up testing positive. Even if they used the cameras and had many tracers doing it as a full time job, it would be quite a challenge.

    Not surprised at all...

I'm not sure Caesars would be legally allowed to comment if these were guests versus employees? (Without their approval)

I wish the story said what day the infected people were in the flamingo or did I miss them saying it?

That article is sparse on details. Two people, may be guests or employees. That's about all we know.

We really shouldn't be surprised. With thousands of workers, of course there are going to be people who test positive. Just have to hope there arent large clusters of positive cases in any hotel or else they will probably have to shut down for awhile

Law of averages.....you can't expect everyone to be healthy who works there. If I were there now I would just assume everyone has it and keep my distance as much as I can. Many people are not following the suggested distancing but I think you can minimize risk by the times/places you go. The one person at Bellagio worked at a restaurant, which they promptly shut down. We still not know if you can get it from food. I might be packing peanut butter and crackers. Good thing alcohol kills germs.

Employees have lives outside the casino.
There's no word if they suspect any transmission at Flamingo.
This is an example of why employees wear masks and guests are strongly encouraged to do so.

That went off the rails. Look, you are all entitled to make your own decisions about how safe it is in Vegas right now, but I won't have someone promoting misinformation about the severity of the virus, nor will I allow people to declare that it's acceptable if a specific segment of the population just die because you would prefer it that way. :nono:

The reason we ONLY have 120,000 dead is because we did the shutdown. We're now back at 30,000+ new cases per day in the US and deaths seem to be hovering around 800 per day, but could start rising with the increased cases. That's unacceptable in my opinion. How many dead is enough dead for people to take this seriously? I truly hope this never touches you personally, but for those it has, I'm closing this thread to further discussion.
