    Anyone been there since COVID?

I have only been there once, in Feb. They had $1 craps and had one blackjack table open. We were there around lunchtime.

What other table games do they have? We really enjoy the lower limits and my wife likes the older slots.

Was hoping that craps would still be cheap for our trip in September.

I am wondering the same thing regarding the craps table.

Probably about the same. I don't see a true "locals" joint like that, as opposed to a "locals" hotel casino, raising limits much. They truly live off of locals and locals don't like changes like that.

That's exciting news. What other places are considered true locals casinos? I'd like to check them out on our next visit.

They also have roulette, which they've opened for us during the day if we had enough players to warrant it. There were four of us.

As I recall it was a $5 game, chip value as low as 25¢. A couple years back I played for dimes, but the supervisor said people would sit there all day to the exclusion of the people that wanted to bet more.

In our interesting times? Dunno. Last there in Feb.

There's the Skyline and another who's name I can't remember down by the Joker's Wild. Head so on the highway, take a left on Lake Mead to Waters street, go right and a couple of blocks later you're in DT Henderson. Yes the original. There are three casinos and they have been locals casinos far longer than any that most consider so.

I'm not a table games player, but I believe last time I was in Joker's Wild (pre-COVID) the roulette table was $2 minimum, $.25 chips.

Klondike Sunset is right by Skyline - just off of Boulder Highway. Sunset Station isn't too far away either - it's still a locals casino, but doesn't have the small local vibe that Klondike Sunset, Skyline, Joker's Wild, Rainbow Club, Eldorado, and Emerald Island have. I try to get to at least Skyline and Emerald Island every trip - but I usually am down in Henderson already to see family at some point which makes it easier.

For got about the Klondike. I don't think that place ever did any business. The old place on the strip was a cool dump. You see it in Vegas Vacation. The other three are in DT Henderson with the Klondike and Skyline on Sunset if I remember correctly. I thought there was another on the highway close to Jokers Wild. Was that the Roadhouse? Can't remember.

There's a Dotty's on Boulder between Skyline and Joker's Wild. Fiesta Henderson is also around there somewhere, but I don't think it's directly on Boulder Highway.

I did some sleuthing - the Roadhouse was further down Boulder past Skyline, but has been permanently closed for some time now.

I'll have to check a few of these places out. I'm a table games player, so this might rule out a few. Klondike looks like it was just slots, but had electronic roulette and craps, which would do for an hour or so.

We might stick to the Joker's Wild. I'd still be interested to know what their mins are during this COVID pandemic.

Yeah, a lot of these local joints are machines only.
    • Joker's Wild usually has tables open most of the day (possibly around the clock). Their website currently lists table games as "temporarily closed", but hopefully will be back up by September.
    • Skyline has (I think) three tables - open only in evening and usually only one dealer. I've never seen anything other than blackjack being dealt.
    • Klondike Sunset, Rainbow Club (not reopened yet and website down), Emerald Island, and Eldorado (currently closed) do not have table games.
    • Club Fortune in Henderson has table games - their website says table games back as of June 11th and lists $1 craps, $3 blackjack, and $.25 roulette
    • Longhorn Casino on Boulder Highway between Downtown and Henderson - I've never been in, but I know they have at least blackjack tables.

Yep. It has to do with licensing. It's much simpler to get a machine-only license (hence why there are VP machines at supermarkets). Many are essentially bars/restaurants that happen to have some machines there, as opposed to being full-fledged casinos.

I really like Railroad Pass. Good steakhouse and diner. Low limit BJ Craps and of course slots and VP. Bit of a drive but I always stop when I'm out Henderson/Boulder way. Hotel caters more to truckers now days it seems.

Yeah, the Roadhouse has been closed for quite a while. The place I'm thinking of would would predate the Dotty's chain. Not the Fiesta. This was a stand alone casino. Just can't remember the name.
