    Great trip report!

If you have already done the Ferrari in Vegas, then pad the bankroll. You might win enough to BUY a Ferrari!!!

Great trip report, loved all the pictures.
It also shows the power of selective memory that casinos use to stay in business. You have all those pictures of your many wins and you are telling your friends about those wins (better than most) and yet you were a loser (thou much less than most) and over time the wins stay in our memories and the total loss fades away. From my March trip to the Beau I clearly remember the $900 win from the Willie Nelson slot and not so much the $1836 total loss (had to look it up on my Mlife account).

Yes, technically a loss, on slots, overall, but according to my MLife account I left $628 ahead at Beau Rivage, and for me, the entertainment factor is worth more than the $50 I lost on slots, not to mention a comped room with a retail value over $500, so I kind of look at is as I got a $500 room and lots of entertainment for 3 days for $50 give or take, and free food and bar tab.

And yet, you still have a valid and excellent point with the slots. I was almost $1,000 in the black on the trip after 2 hours on site, and just lost everywhere the rest of the trip! And I do Remember Golden Nugget as a dirty place that was no fun at all and was so smoky the air tasted like an ashtray. I'll never go back. And I didnt even get that one win to remember it by, because it just didnt happen, or even come close to happening.

You're right about the selective memory, totally, but perspective matters too. I'm telling my friends how nasty and tight Golden Nugget was, and without that stop, I would have been ahead several hundred on the trip, even with the $200+ loss at Hard Rock. And I'm certain I MUST have had some good wins on my Christmas trip, but I lost $4,400 to Cosmo and Caesars Palace in 4 days, and that's my dominant gambling memory from that trip. I no longer remember any of my wins that trip, but I will always remember using the $10 ATM on my last night because I realized I didn't even have enough cash left to tip the valet and limo driver after taking my last $100s to the casino lol - but you're still right - if there had been a hand pay in the mix, that would be the part I remember most.

I call it 'the sweet spot'. You got a deal on paying only very little for room, food, entertainment...and the casino got a deal that they made money on you. It keeps you happy that you got a cheap get-a-way and the casino continues to send you offers. Everyone's happy.
