I picked " I'm a little bothered by too much/too little safety precautions - I'm going to wait a little longer." But I was always waiting longer. I leave late July. I am just now realizing I may end up having to cancel because I am bothered.

Masks do not prevent you from getting it, they prevent you from giving it to other people.

I wish more people would understand this.

I picked “ I’m not going back for awhile” - the reopening was different than I expected, so I will (grudgingly) take the safe route & hang back. We have relatives that we see often that are higher risk. So for the foreseeable future that will have to be my priority. I’ll just have to enjoy Vegas through trip reports.

Shout out to those who have posted TRs recently. You guys are awesome!!!

Being at a higher risk myself, and after seeing footage from Cosmo, I'm going to be waiting for a vaccine before conducting any travel putting me in contact with large numbers of people.

I booked this past weekend to go out on 6/21. I’m not going to let the press make me live my life in fear. This is my opinion and I have nothing against those who feel fearful and want to wait.

I answered the poll a little bothered, and may wait, but its not because of safety, it's because it looks a little bleak for a solo traveler.

Have July Reservation Aria, but may postpone. Mulling.

After looking at several trip reports, my opinion hasn’t changed - I was hoping to see more compliance. I just don’t see a good measure of distancing or masks on the strip or downtown casinos, I wouldn’t feel safe going. But I really want to be there. :(

I’ve always said I’d be one of the last to go since I am in the high risk group and waiting for a vaccine or something.

I'm getting the antibody test on Tuesday and although it will not conclude an certain percentage of immunity if positive, I think it will allow me to book for a Sept. trip.

    This.
I am itching to go, but no. I am more inclined to go to a CA local that requires masks be worn by patrons. I feel for the casino employees being exposed to non-mask wearing hotel guests & gamblers. I am surprised that this was not a requirement for reopening.

@unomas I am curious about which antibody test you are able to get and the reliability. Would you mind sharing? (Sorry for the hijack, @Sonya. Please delete if you need to.)

I think that by the time you get sick youll be home again. Its that big hospital bill that keeps me from venturing out. I read where they did a double lung transplant on a young covid patient in chicago. You have nothing to worry about. They are improving their skill level at the hospital.

I still have a trip scheduled for July and a backup for August, but seeing the pics, I don't think they're happening.

Why? Hubs is out. He likes sports bars and live music. Not a thing (safely) with social distancing....he even said no way, Vegas won't give him what he wants safely.

I was going to bring my mom, as she mainly chills in the room, and I just want visit time, slots, food and sleep.

But, seeing the pics, I'm not comfortable bringing something back to the room with my mom.

Solo could be an option, but my work has been super generous with work from home. (Even before required) and extended my contract even though I was at a hard stop. (2 year max.) People are always curious about my vacations, and I'm not good at deflecting, even when I try. I just can't see saying I'm going to Vegas when they've been so careful on lock down.

So, for me, it's half the Vegas pics, half diplomacy. One or the other, maybe. Combined/aka bad Vegas pics AND awkward work justification for vacation? I think I'm going to have to wait, even though I don't want to.

(But, if work diplomacy wasn't an issue, I probably WOULD go, but just me!)

A second wave of COVID-19 is building. Mask wearing in the casinos needs to be insisted on, now. Social distancing in the casinos is a lost cause. It doesn't look good right now.

    @win4me it is a SARS-COV-2 Antibody IgG test https://www.labcorp.com/tests/164055/sars-cov-2-antibody-igg

Honesty, I have no idea what the reliability of this test will be? My plan was to ask very nicely at the lab about specifically who manufactured the test that will be used on my sample. And from there I might be able to get a better idea of the reliability of it and then make a decision about returning to my favorite place on earth! Cheers!

I am shocked how even the poll is. I guess the gamblers are ready to go and the people who want to see shows may be more hesitant. For me it was a great time last weekend

From seeing two of my locals, and regarding them as underwhelming and somewhat disappointing, I figure that Las Vegas would be more of the same right now.

Our next trip isn't until end of October so things have time to change for the better. I'm willing to wait and see how things progress.

Right now from what I am seeing Las Vegas is lacking in the the excitement that I look forward to experiencing. That may be a deal breaker for me. If we can't reasonably do most of the things that we do when we are there then what's the point?

I am not surprised at the lack of precautions or distancing that I am seeing and is being reported by some trip reports. I am seeing the same thing here as things reopen.
