Indiana casinos can re-open June 15th at 6am. Check individual casinos to verify.

I hope they actually do get to open. I need at least a day trip, but may try to do two nights in Southern Indiana.

I heard him talk about this on Friday, but no specifics really, as you mentioned. I sure hope it's true! I would think we would hear something from the casinos soon, at least verifying what day they are opening and what the procedures will be. I emailed my host to ask what he knew, but at this point I'm not even sure that he still works there.

    I'm ready!!!

Glad to here this, but as others have said, what are the details on restrictions. That will have a bearing on when I go back.

This is good news! Although, I'm still going to wait awhile to see what restrictions are in place, as well as how busy the casinos are when they reopen. I normally go the Blue Chip in Michigan City and Horseshoe -Hammond. I need to keep my BConnected account active so l don't lose my points, since I have no plans on going to Vegas before the end of this year.

I’m thirty minutes from Caesars and 90 minutes from Belterra. We usually stay the night at Belterra so I’ll give them time to work out the bugs. I was hoping that Caesars might loosen up their VP to attract their customers back, but the Vegas model appears to be raise the table limits. I miss having the option to visit, but I won’t be busting down the doors.

I usually spend the night at Belterra, too. I am about 1 hour 45 minutes from Belterra. I quit going to Horseshoe because it was about a 3 hour drive.

What's strange to me, is this one news article, from NBC Chicago, is now about 24 hours old, and I still cannot find any mention of this news on any other sources. Google News finds nothing else covering any mention of casinos from yesterday or today. Seems very odd, you would think it would be a bigger story. Makes me worry that the one source that IS reporting it may not have it quite correct.

Edit: I checked the social media pages of several Indiana casinos, and none have any reopening posts.

I know June 14 has been the rumored date for some time, but I wonder if the NBC Chicago article is misquoting Holcomb here. I don't think this is quite a done-deal just yet. Still might happen, but not quite finalized, it seems.

Don't blame you. It's some the strictest regulations I've seen among the states that have reopened so far.

Sounds to me like entering an operating room, which I prefer to do on my back! So I’ll be a pass until those restrictions disappear.

The 14th is this Sunday, and so far I have seen nothing from casinos or anyone in the way of announcements. Seems like most casinos that have reopened started advertising that fact at least a week ahead. So I'm hoping we some indication soon!!

FWIW, Potawatomi in Milwaukee didn't announce anything until this past Friday about being open starting today. Depending on when Horseshoe Hammond opens (and if they have their table games open), I may head there before Potawatomi, since they aren't opening their table games yet.

I decided to double check the IGC website. And they say Monday June 15th at 6am is the earliest reopening time allowed. I'll fix the thread title.

Belterra has been taking reservations for 3 or 4 weeks. You can’t see any offers on their website, but when I called 2 weeks ago to see about rates for mid July, I was told they could be comped. I immediately booked 2 nights for my birthday in mid July. I’ll wait until I get reports about how things operate before I decide if I’m actually going to go or not.

My mom booked 2 comp nights for June 17/18 about a month ago. I’ll let her tell me about her experience and decide from there if I’m going to go. My wife will have spent 120 consecutive days with our 6 year old daughter...she’s ready to get away for a couple of nights.
