    My Trip Report

*Low expectations. It’s what I have and so should you, at least where this trip report is concerned. I’ve been following along with the other reports so far and they are probably going to be much more exciting and detailed than mine. Now that the disclaimer is out of the way, let’s get this trip going already!

I fly out of PHX Sky harbor airport and fly every week for work. However, I’ve been grounded since March 15th. This is my first flight in quite a while. This is a solo trip for the most part, but might have a couple of local friends come down to the strip to say hi and check it out.

I’m on a southwest flight right now, managed to score the 1st class exit row seat with no seat in front of me. At the airport, there were more people not wearing masks than I expected for a mask required facility. On my flight right now, it’s a “sold out” flight but middle seats are open and front row seats seem to be blocked off.

A host resent reached out to me from The D, so I decided to stay tonight there. Supposedly I’m going to be in a suite, and should have $300 in FP. I’ve only stayed there one other time and it was in a standard room so I’m excited to check it out.

Tomorrow, I’m going to be checking into Caesars for 3 nights comped and have $375 in FP. I haven’t stayed at Caesars in quite a while as I’m usually a Cromwell guy, but I’m just happy some things are open.

Just an FYI, I’m not a big foodie/touristy, I’m here to drink and play VP/slots so that’s what most of my pics are probably going to be. Again, if you don’t expect much, you won’t be disappointed, lol.

Looks like some of the slot machines are on and ready and some of the restaurants are open at the airport

There was no line for check in at The D, but they were experiencing a few it issues. The agent said they just switched to a new reservation system. It really only took about 5 mins to check in.

I ended up in a suite at the end of the hallway looking over FSE stage. I’m assuming it’s going to be loud, but I’ll be up playing pretty late anyways.

This room appears to be recently painted, no complaints there, but here’s the proof:

Hopefully the paint's dry! If you get a chance to check out Bar Canada I'm interested to know what VP options and paytables they have. Have fun!

If you don't mind can you tell us are The D and Golden Gate Dancing girls wearing masks? What are the minimums on the craps tables?

Good luck on your trip. I'm also from the Phoenix area and am planning to be in town June 29 - July 2 at Ballys. Thanks for doing the report.

I just want to say, to all of the “anti-maskers” avoiding Vegas, don’t worry about it. Honestly, this feels like a regular week night here at The D. I’m about 50/50 with my face covering in between drinking and gambling and it’s about the same with the people here.

I’ve been getting my ass kicked tonight but have found a couple of games to “keep me afloat”.

I was hoping that this one would go further, but it didn’t. I’ll still take it though. [IMG]

Apparently, JW Black is the best scotch that I can get compd here at The D.

Understand your frustration, although i would lay down $100 to see anything on the rocks at a Vegas bar right now
