Took a lyft over to Nacho Daddy's at Miracle Mile for lunch. We ate at the one off Freemont our last trip and it was very good. This one was the same, good food and portions. We got there at 1300 and were the only customers. When we left about an hour later there was about 13 people inside. Full staff.

We asked the waitress about the protests and she was definitely not a fan. She said they have been starting at the Bellagio fountains and then moving north towards downtown every time. She hadn't seen them go south of Bellagio. She also said that she heard there was going to be another one downtown tonight, so we'll have to research that a bit before we head to Freemont.

We've talked to 7 locals since we arrived about the protests (3 lyft drivers, 2 at Embassy Suites and 2 at Nacho Daddy's). The consensus of all 7 is not very happy with the protests. All have echoed the same thing in that they support the cause but are really angry about the aftermath stuff. They want Vegas back open and are scared that now that it's about to open people will be further scared of violence.

I will try to respond to everyone that asks questions but it may be a few days as we move around. We are going to try to see as much as we can. If I don't get a chance to see what someone asks about I will let you know.

Really appreciate your doing a TR but we want you to really enjoy yourself and experience this historic moment so we'll try and not be too needy for photos and first-hand reports. :haha::haha:

So.....just to recap my concerns, regards this trip.

    1. COVID-19- I am aware of it, and respecting it, but not fearing it.

    2. Protests - Being mindful of the potential for unrest, especially since Las Vegas could be considered a high target for making a statement.

    3. Temperature Scanners - What will the Vegas heat do to my normal temp? I don't feel sick or think I may be sick, but now I'm overly concerned about my body temperature.

    4. And now - A friggin earthquake. Sitting in the room, getting ready for tonight and the building starts shaking and swaying (not dramatically, but noticeable).

As I arrive at the pearly gates I am told "look dude, we gave you 4 warnings, but you HAD to gamble."

    Degenerates gonna degenerate. Lol.

Just curious. Are airport bars open for drinks? Do they have a full drink menu on the plane? How does that work with mask usage?

Just read about the quake. Appears it was centered in Ridgecrest CA. It always amazes me how far away you can feel those!

I did not notice any airport bars open in Nashville. For Southwest the only service is a can of water and a bag of chex mix, with ice available on request. Mask usage is mandatory for boarding and during flight but can be removed for drinking and eating. I have also been told from a friend (Southwest FA) that mask usage during flight will not be enforced to the extreme. In other words, FAs were told to not push the issue if a passenger refuses to put a mask on during the flight (once in the air).
