Yup, Caesars Palace and Flamingo first. Then Harrah's and LINQ's casino, as demand rises.

    Oh.. and free self-parking.

I'll post more later in the appropriate threads.

Things move fast if you're not actively trolling for Vegas information. Especially the period leading up to the June 1st date that every casino operator is implying (not stating as fact or hard opening date).

All theories aside how about the theory that CP and Flamingo are two of CET's most Iconic properties with lots of history? Maybe the answer was simple all along on why they chose those two along with their tier status of high and low end properties. Gotta love the history of the two in general.

My host called me a few days ago and she said it was probably gonna be the Flamingo mostly due to the number of rooms at that property. They will be limited to 50% occupancy so they want to open the venues with the most rooms first.

Yup above is the post where CET made their commitment already to Flamingo. Things are always fluid but they already stated officially in the posts above.

Yup. I guess Sisolak and the gaming commission haven't given the green light yet. I'm assuming/guessing that maybe there is SOME reason why they're all citing that date, though, including Venetian, which stopped taking reservations completely for a while. So that kinda makes me think they're hearing something from somewhere?

That said, I also have to say that I would not be surprised at all if Sisolak suddenly announced another executive order that keeps casinos closed until June 15th or July 1st or something. I'm not saying I think he will, necessarily, just that I wouldn't be surprised if he did.

Agree. With Gov Sisolak I wouldn't be surprised if he said mid June or July so we must not put all our eggs in the June 1 basket. However when Venetian starts going hard committing to June 1 then they must be having talks inside. Let's just be prepared for anything.

Fingers crossed. Multi state vacation coming up with Venetian being the end spot, so would love to see it all come together

Note the sentence about bars not being open.

Does this mean no diamond lounge to start either? No bartop VP with bar service or lounge might be a dealbreaker for me.

Other CET properties on Indian Reservations aren't opening Diamond Lounges right away. The CET announcement also specifically stated this is not right away and is probably contingent on a later date or phase. I would hope CET would give Diamond members free drinks at bars where they said you can order drinks from, just not play vp or hang barside to avoid gatherings.

People have reported flashing their cards to bartenders at CET properties and getting free drinks without playing VP. I would hope this will be implemented at every CET property to make up for no DL.

I have heard of people flashing their diamond card for a free drink at CET bars but have never done so myself.

The whole "replacement for diamond lounge" thing is even more confusing with the 25k requirement for diamond lounge access. Basically, not every diamond "deserves" compensation for loss of diamond lounge access.

That said, when we stayed at Flamingo in January, because of the temporary closing of their diamond lounge, we still got a $10/day f&b credit and access to the free diamond drinks during the outdoor happy hour (didn't make it), despite the fact that I am a bare-minimum diamond.

And during these tough times, they might just appreciate us. After all, who would've thought they would all go back to free parking?

They announced yesterday it will be Caesars Palace and Flamingo as the first 2.....followed by Linq / Harrahs. I guess its a strategic move, but it doesn't work for me. I prefer Bally's, Paris and Caesars. I never play, not do I want to play at Linq or Harrah's. I actually have reservations in 4 weeks for Bally's but my host called me to tell me he can help me switch Casino's - I opted to wait because I'll probably just cancel the trip.

Yeah I saw the announcement and wasn't surprised. I'm of the same opinion as you, including Cromwell and PH, and I have zero desire to play at Harrah's or Linq. I get the strategic decision behind Linq I guess given all the shops/activities in that area, but Harrah's makes no sense to me. There's literally no properties south of Flamingo included, which is bizarre.

Oh well, I don't get paid to make decisions there, however, they just won't get paid by my poor decisions insofar as coming into Vegas until properties I actually enjoy open up. Best part about this country, nobody forces us to go there haha.

Feeling like you are on an island is part of the appeal for me. The hotel feels really private in a way. Plus, for the price point, it's ba pretty big room. I love stretching out on a budget.
