What I read here in Louisiana and Mississippi the craps tables will be limited to 3 players per side. No mention of minimums. I'll find out on the 25th If my plans don't change. I expect minimums to increase. I'm a nickel player any most casinos down here have $5 and $3 tables, so I expect to see $10 tables which will require an adjustment to my game. If the tables are $15 that will require big changes with fewer bets. More than that I'll have to tap out
3 to a table will change scouting a table especially if you have to wait in a line to play. On a cold table the dice will come around fast. That could be good probably bad. Any thoughts?

My thoughts are not reflective of your question. Such a set up is not what I would enjoy for a craps session. Thus, I will see what other terrors the virus has placed upon us to determine my level of interest but somehow I feel I am on an asteroid hurtling through space with all kinds of gimmicks to a real casino layout. What with the face shields etc. And not being critical of their need, just too far removed from my sense of fun.

I almost never play a $10 table. When I do, it's the only time I play the Don't, 2 or 3 flat Don't Come bets. If the mins are $15, I won't play.

My annual Las Vegas trip is with a party of 4-5. We'll be thinking long and hard about going next February if it's limited to 3 players per side -- we'd probably never be able to play the same table. Turning what to us is a social game into a solitary game would most likely be a deal killer.

I'm going to start taking a pair of BBQ tongs to pick up and throw the dice (might also use them to pluck cigarettes from people's mouths)

I mostly play on $5 tables but do play on $10 tables as well. There’s not much difference to me at that level, but am more aggressive earlier on the $5 table compared to the $10. Although my bankroll is larger now than in the past, I don’t think psychologically I can adapt to a $15 or higher table yet so probably would refuse to play at that level.

I hate $15 tables and its not so much about the larger bankroll needed-betting is awkward and takes more time.

$10 table, place the 6 & 8, toss dealer a quarter, get $1 back. payoff 3 nickels, give back $1.easy and quick

$15 table, 6 & 8 $18 each-so $36-more chips going both ways, payoff $21, so usually 4 nickels and a buck or dealer gives a quarter and you need to give $4 back, or a quarter and a buck, you toss a nickel. Maybe they will introduce a $6 chip to make it easier..

I think we are going to see $25 and up if they have to limit to 6 players

I’m almost certain that most casinos will gauge and adjust table minimums accordingly. The same way it was prior to the outbreak.

I feel the minimums will increase with fewer players. Supply and demand. If people are waiting in line to be one of the six at the table, minimums will increase

Higher mins + faster play = no bueno for me. I never play above $10 min, not gonna start now.

I usually do marathon craps sessions @$5 min, so I'd probably be up for a few whirls at up to $15, expecting a quicker outcome one way or the other.
Don't expect to see the same energy at tables with half the people.
Higher limits might increase churn at a table, making spots open quicker for those that want to step up.
Faster passing of the dice may help shooters keep their rhythm.

I prefer four person limit per table. The higher the table limit the fewer ding dongs. No knuckle heads throwing bets out in the middle of a throw. I can have my fun without having to wait an hour to get the dice because the dealers are slow on payout. Sounds like a win - win.

Don't know how much I'll be playing in early days when the restrictions will be the highest. For instance the first casinos that are starting to open here in Washington aren't even opening tables, only slots. But assuming down the road I go to my local and they change their usual daytime minimums from $5 to $10 or $15, probably no big change in my playing strategy. But if they were $25+ tables I would either rethink playing at all or would greatly reduce what I play to maybe just passline with single odds, unless a shooter makes a few points quickly and then I would bump up odds or add in 6/8 place bet, etc.

I like to play craps at $5. Occasionally if I go up to $10, it's usually at nicer joints like Aria and Bellagio. If they all go to or above $15, I might stop playing.

On another note, people keep saying that the casinos will bump up the minimums, due to lower number of players at the table. This at first seems logical, but people forget that the economy is not the same. Much of the clientele from further states and foreign countries will be missing.

Vegas will be dominantly domestic customers, from around the West Coast area. And with millions of people losing their jobs, getting paycuts, or losing investment income; the appetite for Vegas expenditure will be low.

So, don't bet on the casinos having the edge here. Customers will have the edge and casinos will have to make the deal much much sweeter. They already did away with the paid parking. This will pretty much be 2008 all over again.

Upon reopening, yes. You might see an initial spike. This scenario will be very short lived. To say that minimums will increase OVERALL seems illogical.

Let’s use Cosmo in this example.

If Cosmo was at 75-95 percent capacity with $10 minimums prior to this disaster. There would be 2 or 3 people playing. They would adjust the minimums up as the table filled in.

It seems illogical that they increase the minimums to $15 with 40-50 percent capacity. Meaning 1 or 2 people would be playing.

I honestly believe that craps will as it always has been....adjusted accordingly.....

I think what will be more likely is casinos like Flamingo, The Linq, Harrah's and Bally's will need to open an extra table. Whereas during the week, a lot of Strip casinos would have two tables open, they'll need to open three. If they have three open during the weekend, they'll open four. Yes, this is higher overhead in terms of salaries, but they'll want to get as many people in as possible, and there just aren't that many $15 minimum craps players, most of those preferring to play at Cromwell, Caesars, Bellagio, or Venetian.

I've spoken to dealers at my local, and they maintain the ding dong and knucklehead ratio is consistent across table minimums. They're just more likely to indulge the $25 bettor.

The $5 player gets a stern warning, while the same behavior in the $25 player is just a charming idiosyncrasy.

The closest casino to me is MGM National Harbor, where the craps minimums are $25 (and most of the tables were $50 when I was there on a Sunday afternoon in February before the virus hit). Even though those minimums are too rich for my blood, I look forward to checking out the scene when it reopens, to see if the mins are outrageous due to less players due to social distancing. Of course, the craps pit there has 10 tables, so as someone else above said, they might just open more of them.
