HI all, hope all is well.
Maybe I missed this info but I don't think it's been put out there-

So, we know Mlife is going to open Bellagio & NYNY to start.

CET will obviously open the flagship Ceasars. The only info I can find is that they will also being opening a second property on the "east" side of the road.
What would be your guess for the second property, and why?
Just curious as to what your options are. Plus, it will help pass the time.
I just checked my ceasars app & oddly I can book a room at all the properties starting the 28th, I believe...
I'm booked at Ceasars for the 1st as a little "solo" quick getaway.

Oh I didn’t know they only going to open two hotels (mgm) I’m assuming mgm announced it? I didn’t hear, it’s probably good thing they start out slow.. we haven’t heard much about local Mgm (I know they want to open but mayor of Detroit has press conference and stated that he doesn’t think local Mgm will NOT go back to business as usual for like year (and that’s good case!!!) so I’m sure local one going to open but very slow. With that being said I don’t even know if I’m gonna go once it’s open (local) for while. Btw I believe I can book the local room in middle of June or something

Yup the CEO mentioned in interviews both NYNY and Bellagio to reach high end and value customers.

I agree on Flamingo. There is "talk" out there from employees being called back and the fact CET also wants a value property but won't name any sources where I heard it from  take that info with a grain of salt but my bet is on Flamingo as the second property. I would hope the third be Center strip such as PH (just guessing don't take my word for it) if some shopping is allowed again due to Miracle Mile having stores and lots of food options.

I will be in Vegas during phase 1. My plan is to do my antibodies test before I go and test when I get back home as precaution for anyone I may come across.

I was booked on the 1st also but have decided to warm up at my local Harrah's SoCal first and see how it goes in Vegas.

Caesars Palace is my home in Vegas you will enjoy it there. Hoping Bacchanal returns as a AYCE sushi format.

I have heard a lot of speculation on this, including from people working inside CET. Nobody has any idea yet. I think Flamingo or Harrah's are the best bets. Bally's would be a good option, except for the connection to Paris makes it harder to isolate. I hate that smell at Harrah's, so I hope it is Flamingo.

What is this smell at Harrah's you're referring too? Is it just general smell inside? Maybe it will be better since they were doing some remodeling on the floor prior to shutdown.

Outside of Caesars when I walk by the Augustus tower I always get this sewer smell which is my only qualm with smell at Caesars but that is outdoors at the Flamingo Rd side.

If I had to guess, my bet is CET wants to maximize the value of the properties. CP has the shops. Flamingo has the food court plus the Linq promenade. Alternatively, if it is NOT the Flamingo, my money would be on Planet Hollywood with the Miracle Mile shops and restaurants. Again, this is my guess.

That's a good assessment since Caesars would probably prefer to double dip and have the resort open that is across the street like Flamingo is. They can simply cross the street and be at the forum shops, their casino restaurants, or linq promenade. Lots walking distance.

Moderator note: Editied the title to be more clear.

The last few trips I've had (Dec 18, Jul 19, Dec 19), there has been a bad (sewer) smell, covered up by a heavy perfume smell. It makes me dizzy. It was so bad in Dec 18, my friend shoved cocktail napkins up her nose to avoid it. :haha: I should have gotten a picture, but I was laughing too hard.

Interesting guess. Reminds me I haven't poked around to ask about the Miracle Mile plans. Hmmm... :hmmm:

Yes, I was trying to think of the rationale behind some of the hotel choices (NY-NY/Bellagio, CP/Flamingo (again, just rumors)).

Bellagio - showcase the best of Las Vegas? Central strip.
NY-NY - not really sure. Would have picked MGM Grand (food court choices, bigger pool). That one was a head scratcher for me. Perhaps they are trying to expand the footprints, so to speak?

CP - again, the shops. Plus, to compete with the Bellagio.
Flamingo - location is a winner. Food options nearby.

What else is there? Planet Hollywood for the food and shopping. Harrah's? Nothing, really. Cromwell - same. It would not honestly surprise me if CET opened with three options rather than two, but that's just my guess.

I would guess flamingo over harrahs too. It has a similar casino floor size for social distancing but has much more rooms available which could help

The sewer smell is the reason why I’ll never stay at Venetian or Palazoo again. I swear it always smells like a sewer whenever I have been in there. I haven’t noticed it with harrahs

Flamingo. Ideal location right across the street from Caesars. It is their lowest end Strip property, but has one of their best pools.

I get that sewer smell at Venetian too but only in the outside part on Las Vegas Blvd near Wynn. So weird many hotels may need to have their infrastructure fixed for this but it is a small problem for me since I smell it in small patches of areas.

Interesting, our noses are all definitely unique when it comes to smell and taste so I wonder what it is that is triggering that at Harrah's. I frequent the Diamond Lounge at Harrah's so I spend some time there and never came across that smell. Is it a certain section of the casino? I would hope they be productive and find a solution for that especially now. Especially with all the productivity casino's are having with the shutdown e.g. Caesars remodel of Bacchanal, MGM new carpet, and other casinos working on carpeting.

It could be a time of day/year thing too. I don't spend tons of time at Harrah's. In Dec 18 it was the worst. We noticed it everywhere, but it was concentrated in that little slots area just past where you go up to Toby Keith's. I think it's across the aisle from the escalator, or a little more forwards towards The Strip. I think there may be a small step down, but I may be imagining that. :drunk:.

The other place I notice it a lot is the craps tables towards the strip side of the casino. It's near the TR desk.

When I was there in July, I noticed it wasn't as bad, but I could smell it if I looked for it. In December it was back again. Both times in December it was rainy outside, so that could be a factor too. I don't know. I can't be the only one here who has smelled it, can I? But I have a witnesses! @texas_aggie_girl_93 are you around? I need you to confirm you had cocktail napkins shoved in your nose. :haha:

I never smell it inside Venetian or Palazzo but always smell it on sidewalk as you walk past palazzo
