I don't have the prior revision handy, but I think this enhances the prior one by pushing out the dates and also reloading the tier-based comp nights.
    • Current Tier status extended to April 30, 2021. This does not explicitly say that they are changing everybody's anniversary date. It appears they are sticking with a 365-day rolling player year.
    • Current Tier benefits (ie. tier-based comp nights) are being reloaded on May 1. So if you already used your tier night(s), you'll be able to use them again. It doesn't say that they'll double them if you haven't used them yet.
    • Existing Identity Points (ie, slots and resort credit points) will not expire until at least January 31, 2021.
    From the email:

    Tier Status
Your current Tier Status* has been extended and is now guaranteed through April 30, 2021. If you have already earned Tier Status beyond that date, your account will remain unchanged and we will continue to review the past 365 days for any tier progressions.
Note: I'm not sure how anybody could already have earned tier status past April 30, 2021.

    Tier Benefits
Because we want you to experience the best of everything at The Cosmopolitan, all Tier Benefits will be reloaded to your account on May 1, 2020. That means you can still enjoy all of your benefits, even if you’ve already used them.

    Identity Points
Identity Points will not begin to expire until January 31, 2021. At that time, points will expire only if there has been at least 12 months of inactivity on your account.

*There will be no change to guest accounts who have already earned tier status beyond April 30, 2021. Tier credits will continue to expire based on normal system timing.

My Tier year ends on May 31, I think. I've already used my Sterling night for this year. So according to this, they will reload it on May 1. However, on May 31 my Tier Year will start over, and I have already re-earned Sterling for the next year. At that point, I'll be interested to see whether I get another Sterling night and will have two, or if the first one will go away.

In any case, it's nice of them to extend everything!

That'll be an interesting test case.

Seems like the Sterling night you already used should get reloaded on May 1. But under normal circumstances, it would expire on May 31. Then you'd get a completely new one for your new player year.

I already used my Gold nights. It'll be interesting to see what the expiration date is when they get reloaded. My player year ends in July and I'm not going until end of August at the earliest.

“Player year” dates are being changed, to May 1, 2020. Unless you’ve already earned beyond that.

Do you know if this will be a fixed date going forward similar to other players clubs or back to original way once we pass that date?

Not fixed going forward. The value of our program (one of the many values) is that every player gets their own year to advance.

The status extension seems a bit odd for me. Before 5/1, my account showed that I needed to earn 4,775 more points before October 23, 2020 to renew gold status for another year. Now it shows that I need to earn 20,000 points before May 1, 2021 to maintain gold status. If I earn 4,775 before October 23, 2020, will Cosmo extend my status to October 2021 or do I have to restart now because of the May 2021 extension?

For the past few years, I've had 3 trips (October, December, January/February) with my status renewing in late October. I guess it's the same thing now as before...I'm just used to having my October solo trip at the end of my status year where I can play however much I want to top off gold status.

Now, the "top off" trip will fall into January/February when I'm out there for a conference (and typically don't play as much) and it somewhat forces me to play more on the October trip not knowing how much I'll need by the end.

You're right that they changed that caption so now it says you need 20,000 by May 1 2021. But as far as I know, they didn't simply "zero out" your tier points when they changed it. So if you do earn another 4,775 tier points by October 23, I expect you will re-up Gold at that point, through (at least) October 2021.

I don't see anything under activity, my last visit was October.
I don't see any dates listed, where is everyone seeing dates?
I guess I'm good for awhile as the Identity site shows "Congrats! You earned Sterling for next year, too.".
I'm just not 100% when that year started/ends.

This is my issue too. I'm trying to see when my NEW year starts, so that I know when I can get another Sterling free night. But I can't find any data and there is nothing in my history either.

If you used your tier status night already this year it should have reappeared on your account shortly after the May 1 reset. Mine reappeared then.

Mine has reappeared but I moved my original date from April to September, the booking still stands but another tier night as appeared. Wonder if they will honour it along with the other.

It's been wonky for a long time, prior to the shutdown. It displays "Button" but when you click on it nothing happens.

I think I remember being able to see my activity when I was there in January, but the next time I tried (and every time since), it hasn't worked.

If the Identity email address is being staffed, they might be able to give you a breakdown by date, or at least by trip.

I also used my tier night last year, but I have not had a new one show up. I think my term ends end of May, possibly? So maybe it will show up after that?

When it's working, the label on the button says something else, or else there's no button and the page just displays your activity, I can't remember which.

Has anyone else seen their Cosmo Identity points expire despite this supposed extension? I has what I believe was about 8,000 tier points that I earned in late May/early June last year that were listed on my account last month, but now appear to be gone. I can't see anything under "recent activity" either, but I'm not sure how far back you are supposed to be able to see on your online account.
