I've seen that video – scary stuff. It's a good thing it won't apply to tables, chairs, cards, chips, machines, etc! :)

Hell yeah, when all the craziness stops. I wouldn't visit Vegas with a mask. I believe buffets will be back, when the masks are off at some point. That's the time I will eat as I enjoy them a lot.

I'll one up you on that, we eat the patented Casino Royale apocalypse hot dogs at least once per trip. Still alive and kickin'. No buffet will be the end of us!

I was never big on buffets, but have partaken in some of the nicer ones. This would not prevent me from eating at a buffet

It's funny you say that. I have never had a Vegas buffet... I scheduled my June trip in December with one of the highlights I've wanted to do was enjoy a vegas buffet and now that is seeming like it will never happen. It was such a big draw that I may cancel that trip if they no longer have it.

Now that’s a serious buffet appetite! Depending how the restaurants shake out, the city still has amazing food though, and I imagine Caesar’s will still have their buffet since they recently remodeled it. Probably just a different style of utilizing it with certain precautions in place

I love buffets and my life won't be the same without them.

But I'm guessing my waist line will improve without them.

And I won't jump off the Hoover dam if they never come back--but I will miss them!

Buffets are awesome!! I can’t wait until I can get a Caesars 24 hour buffet pass.

Want to know why the lines at the good buffets are crazy long?

    Because buffets are awesome!!

I was over buffets anyway so I won't be back at them anytime soon. The novelty wore off and I don't think a lot of them are worth the money they charge. When I do decide to try buffets again, it will be at the good bang for the buck places if they survive.

One of the things I like about buffets is you can eat as much bacon as you want. Granted it might not be the best bacon available but I didn't care.

At restaurants how much do you get, maybe 3 or if you're lucky, 4?

At buffets I can eat 308,246 if I wanted to.;)

Used to eat buffet for breakfast downtown as coffee and a side in a restaurant was equivalent in price but discovered magnolias at 4 Queens and haven’t looked back. Can’t finish what I order which is the purpose of a buffet, but without the dastardly after effect.

I’ve only been to the buffet at the mirage in years, it was pretty clean and the server put the meat on my plate.

honestly I’d just like a clean space and decent sanitation nothing needs to be overboard

    things should be clean anyway.

Seriously, THIS: ample portions, relatively quick service, and for the price (especially considering 2-for-1 coupons, prizes from the app, and the comp percentage) the downtown buffets at least don’t look so hot in comparison :hmmm:

I was on a conference call last Friday with our food service division and one of the topics was buffets and continental breakfast service. One of the things that was discussed was how to run the buffet without the people touching any of the food or serving utensil's. What is being discussed is shielding all food with glass and having staff put the food on your plate. This is already done in many buffets at the meat carving stations and with some dessert stations. Drink service will be at the table no open beverage sections and increased table rounds with the wait staff and bus staff. Crowd control will occur during the busiest times with possible time specific reservations, opening and closing sections as people complete their meals to allow for cleaning. No tips to be left at the table and will be added at time of payment. For continental breakfast with some of our smaller properties, no hot food all pre packed offerings like bagle/creamcheese, fruit, snack bars, bottled water, bottled juice and coffee prepared by staff.

For me buffets is one of the reasons why I go to Vegas, that along with the Stage Door bar ad pool. Without any of these I may as well stay home.

How many of you had the buffet at The M?

It was one of my favs. And I quit drinking alcohol LONG ago, but it was still my fav!

That's definitely one I will miss.

Hopefully we can believe in this vaccine news today, and perhaps we can all once again go to a buffet.

I think I'd still go. I play MyVegas and the best rewards (only rewards I use now with the FP gone) are the free buffets. Either Mirage breakfast, Bellagio and Aria late lunch or early dinner and that's my meal for the day. MyVegas is gonna have to get creative, I'd imagine the buffets are their best sellers and clearly some folks wont go back any time soon.
