Haha @Multifarious5 - I bring my own Starbucks Via to the casino. I get bottled water(s), a cup of ice and voila - I have iced coffee. I bring Via because it’s stronger coffee/keeps me awake. I ask for a couple of water bottles & reuse my cup (kinda gross I know) but I can make a quick escape if my machine goes cold. 88B9F0E5-719E-4E3B-A5AA-45452C6BA7D1.jpeg

It's not truly a gadget, but I have to have my fan to use for noise when I sleep. It has a laptop carry on bag that it fits perfectly in as well as a few other things that would stress my roller bag. We sleep with two fans running 12 months of the year at home for the sound and hotel rooms seem to be extremely quite even with the AC-Heat running. I actually bought it at Walgreens in Vegas years ago for 12.99 and it's been to Vegas and to many other destinations.

I'm in league with others who need their in room morning coffee.

I never check luggage... LV is a 1:10 flight from SF Bay, so frequent 2-3 nighters are the norm. Space in the carry-on luggage is an issue.

I check ahead. If the room has a k-cup machine, I bring k-cups. For rooms with no brewer, (all of my LV trips since Fall 2018) I bring a collapsible travel pour over and an old fashioned immersion heater. I bought a collapsible travel kettle, but returned it as even that took too much space in luggage.

On that note, I forgot to mention that I always also take a waiter's friend (combines bottle opener / wine corkscrew) when travelling to Vegas.
Very necessary for the room in terms of opening any 6 packs of bottled beer that are not twist-tops, and a bottle of wine that is corked rather than screw-top. These seem to be the case for many imported beers and wines.

I bought one of these to take on cruises, but I never could get it to work! So I bought a TP-Link N300 Wireless Portable Nano Travel Router. That works a treat.

I got a cheap visor clip for my iPhone that attaches to the top pocket or the tray table for watching movies on the flight. This way I can lean back and enjoy the movies at eye-level instead of having to look down. Of course, it doesn't work on the half-trays in the Frontier cheap seats!

Long as I have an mp3 player for my music I'm content on a flight. Once I'm on land I don't really require gadgets.

I take a small percolator type coffee maker. It's sturdy so travels well. Makes good coffee too! I take a coffee cup up from the bar.

Instead of a neck brace cushion for the airplane, I take a beach ball. Just a small blow up beach ball. I'll also take a hoody. Stick the beach ball inside the hoody, inflate to desired firmness. This can work leaning forward on it (inflate 3/4 full) but it works much better when you have a window seat (inflate about 1/2 full). Deflated beach ball fits easily in any pocket. Don't spend over a dollar for the beach ball and you'll really feel like a genius doing this!

I'll share my secret "add humidity" to the hotel room method. You don't have to take a machine. Just fill up your ice bucket and pour it in a line along an out-of-the-way wall. It's amazing how really dry it is in the desert. That wet carpet is totally dry in the morning. I also always shower with the bathroom door open to allow the steam to drift into the room.

White noise machine. Like Mike I bring hangers. In fact I just leave my clothes on hangers fold them over in the suit case and just take them out and hang up once in the room. Fast unpacking. Also a small insulated cooler.

I also bring a white noise machine. The one linked here has a good speaker, and comes in a nice sturdy box with foam packaging, similar to a jewelry box. It's small enough that it fits in my bags easily.
I also always bring a couple of new, clean kitchen garbage bags for dirty clothes, along with a dryer sheet to keep the suitcase deodorized.
Finally, I pack a few of those tiny cologne vials that the department stores like to hand out in their perfume sections.

Not a physical object, but the WinPoker video poker app on my phone. Since the birth of Eniac the casinos have feared that someone with access to a computer could lower their advantage. So occasionally when I’m dealt a challenging hand I will pull my miniature computer out of my pocket, take a swig of my beer, and in full view do the most forbidden act in a casino. For about ten bucks.

The personal humidifier keeps me from nosebleeds on day 3. I don’t have this model but close enough. I start it before bed & again in the morning. I try to disassemble before maid service as one time they tossed the empty bottle which had the adapter screwed into it.

Extra long iPhone charging cords similar to these - although I picked bright colors.

I have an Anker charger that will recharge my iPhone around 4 times. Also a mini charger slightly larger than a credit card to give one full complete charge that I carry in my purse. Keeping phone charged is essential since my CGM app is on my phone for my blood sugar.

    Ooooookayyyy, we have a LOT.
Also amusing Vegas story at the end if you want to skip ahead...
Since we drive and stay for a week, we bring a lot of convenience crap with us. Especially last year.
The first thing is the portable pod coffee machine:
    61lHmXTX3ZL._AC_SL1000_.jpg

It is currently running for 40 bucks on Amazon but I feel like it was much cheaper when we originally bought it a couple of years ago. Can't prove it though.

The next one we tried for the first time last year and it worked so well.:
    71lp23gjZKL._AC_SL1498_.jpg
I like sparkling water with my cocktails and we pregame in the room quite a bit. I also like sparkling water just as an everyday drink so had bought this earlier in the year.
On a typical week long Vegas trip we would purchase at least 4 12 packs of sparkling soda/regular soda cans to take with us. So while having this machine with us may seem bulky in theory, it took up way less space than all those soda packs. It was heaven.

    Another space saver:
    81jH9ZCHK8L._AC_SL1500_.jpg
This is not the model that we have, but I can't be arsed to go find a picture right now. It was low enough to fit under the tap in the bathroom and it worked like a charm. We used to bring at least one giant case of water with us every trip and probably have to purchase more towards the end of the trip and this was a wonderful little item that saves us space and waste. We are always going to bring the soda stream and water filter pitcher from now on. It was just soooooo much easier than shelping a suitcase down to the car to get more water every couple of days.

    White noise:
I always use a white noise app on my phone at home so I just made sure I used it in Vegas as well...really important as we live in the country so I really need it to drown out the noise from the windows/hallways.

I need this to sleep as well:
    61rYr940k7L._AC_SL1000_.jpg
I sleep with a fan on me at home as well and if I don't have this on my nightstand when I travel, I don't sleep as well. It has a USB port so you can use it with a plug or USB Outlet.

My husband is a musician and in the past has brought a "silent guitar" and usually brings a bunch of music software with laptop to go play around with.

We usually bring chip clips or something similar to clip the blinds together so there is no sliver of light to wake us.

Similarly I will bring a sleep mask as I usually sleep with one as home as well.

Hubs reminded me that one trip...so very many years ago we brought a crock pot with us and a bunch of canned goods. This was about 17 years ago before microwaves were commonplace in rooms. We stayed at Sam's Town and I had a really bad flu. My temp was about 102 the night we drove out but I had just been to my doctor and gotten a Zpack and some hydrocodone cough syrup so I was determined to stick it out.
We got there and I crashed for the first two days, couldn't function. We tried the crockpot with can of chili but the can opener that we brought broke and we could only get half the chili out of the can and could no longer open any of the others.
It was kind of a disaster trip all around, but we did go see a funny movie once I was feeling better...that was about all I remember of that trip, other than hubby getting sick after I was starting to feel better.

In another funny story...we always bring a leather-man tool with us if we are driving because there was one time at least 18 years ago that we were staying at QQQQ during the winter. Back then, they would crank the heat in this particular hotel tower until it was unbearable! No matter what you set your room temp at it was super hot. We called down to the front desk and were told there was nothing they could do about it, that was just the way it was in the winter.
Back then (haven't stayed there in at least fifteen years) the windows would open a tiny bit and there would be a metal rod screwed into the window groove that stopped it from going any further.
Hubs grabbed his leather-man and with a couple of twists got the metal bar out so we were able to open the window the whole way and breathe.
Cut to the next morning. We were still up from the night before and getting ready to crash...drunk as hell and we see something go flying passed our window and we hear a big crash onto the top of the Fremont St Experience.
We rush to the window and see what appears to be a silver window frame hanging out on the top of the Experience.
I poke my head out and look up out of the window. About four or five floors above me there is an open looking window. Being drunk I shout up: "Hey man, are you okay?"
The response was a howling woohoo, followed by a hand holding out a lamp from the open window, shaking it like they were going to drop that out too.
We laughed and said something reassuring to him and went back to eating our breakfast so we could go to sleep.
About ten or fifteen minutes later, there was a knock on our hotel room door. My husband answered it and 2 or 3 security guards came into the room asking if we had a problem.
We said: "nope, but the guy a few floors above us just thew out his window..."
They came over and inspected our modified window and then I showed them the open window above us. They thanked us for our time, and retreated out of our room. I took pictures of the window frame on Fremont St Exp as well as the guy holding the lamp out the window, but I fear those pictures might be long lost to a corrupt external hard drive. :(:(
