    Hi @DaiLun

You said your NYNY room was way in the back. Is it where I circled in green below? If yes, that is far. I’ve been going to NYNY for 20+ years on a comp and I’ve never stayed in that tower. Or are you saying that the hotel configuration results in long, winding hallways. I agree if that’s your point. I don’t spend much time in my room (sleep, shower & change) so it never mattered to me. My kids used to love running down those hallways anyway.

Other towers are pretty close to the casino.

Made Ballys home for 14 trips none less than 7 days and am booked for 7 nights early July. Several reasons the pool, easy access to the Stage Door for late night boozing and central location to the strip. I am not a huge fan of the casino but will give them a fair share of my gambling dollars to keep the comps rolling. People say there is a lack of eating places there, I say add in the Paris and you choices widen.

I would choose Bally’s for the location and it’s connection to Paris. I did enjoy our room in the Jubilee Tower a few years ago and would stay again in a heartbeat.

I'd probably vote Bally's as well. NYNY is one of my favorite-looking casino floors, but I'm not a fan of the casino gaming experience there. And the rooms are not only really spread out, but also incredibly small.

I like the tables and location at Bally’s but am more of an MLife guy, so I vote NYNY. How do the pools compare?

As the hubby and I moved up the MGM chain, we stayed at NYNY several times. The casino was ok but the rooms seemed to be so small. The pool is terrible.

I love Bally’s, the casino, the bars, the rooms are large and all come with a fridge. Their pool is laid back. When I go to Vegas with my niece or my high school friends we always stay at Bally’s.

Stayed at both. Stayed in two similar room categories. NYNY: Park Ave King, Spa Suite. Bally's: Jubilee/Resort room, and executive suite. The two suites mentioned are similar for their large Jacuzzi's located in the bedroom.
In room quality I give it to Bally's.
Location I also give to Bally's. I don't value much the casino of the place you're staying at since location of casino can make up for that and center trip is tough to beat. I value being across from Caesars, Bellagio, PH, Cosmo, Aria more than if I were staying at NYNY which is next to Excalibur, MGM, Park MGM. There are way better resorts near Bally's that are walking distance and this translates to better surrounding restaurants, entertainment, shopping and gambling.
    Pool also goes to Bally's.

Never stayed at these hotels, but passed through and played for a while. I don't like them much, but if it was free, I would be happy to stay at both, with a preference towards Bally's. Why I'd pick Bally's:

    - Location is closer to other places that I frequent (Bellagio, Cromwell, EI, Mirage etc.).
    - I just don't like the layout of NYNY casino, it feels cramped (same goes for Venetian despite poshness), just feels too scattered.
    - NYNY eateries (due to its theme) stink. Pizza, pretzel, crepe etc, and I think the corridors are not well ventilated. I just don't find it to be a good Vegas experience (as compared to a pure Vegas resort such as Mirage). It feels like the back alleys of Manhattan, I expect more tropical/desert vibe in Vegas.
    - Bally's rooms look nicer and larger.

Location, Location, Location....a VERY big factor in LV for us...Bally's had a relaxing vibe late at night before going to the room...can easily walk to almost any casino all day for more excitement....? Food options there & within walking distance....Bally's by a very large margin.....

Bally's for sure. But I am biased - a CET person - MLife never gives
me any love for play. Plus - love the location. Easy walk to all my favorite CET places.
Rooms are large and easy to walk to elevator when done playing for the night.

If you're comped at both, which chain do you like better?

I like the casino floor a little more at NYNY, but the Ballys rooms FROM THE PICS (I'm an Mlife/Cosmo gal) seem to appeal to me a little more.

So for me, I'd play where I want to generate future offers, since they both seem to have some solid pros.

    NYNY hands down:
    - It's livelier
    - It has attractions (aka rollercoaster) other than the casino
    - There are far better food options
    - The dueling pianos bar is so fun
    - The theme is fun
    - There's tram access so the 'not being center strip' argument is moot, plus it's next to the Excalibur, Park MGM, and MGM
    - You've got a Cabana across the way at the MGM so why not be closer to it when you wake up in the morning
    - You won't find many youthful people at Bally's -- I've stayed there -- so you'll always have to go off property to have 'fun'

What does Bally's possibly have? Location? You're actually far back...it's not on the strip. Sort of surprised you're asking this. I know you, you won't like Bally's

I looked in my trip report and it was the next to the last room on his floor in the New Yorker tower.

@EastCoastVegasFan! - Full disclosure - @DaiLun makes a very good point. If you look at the exterior of NYNY, it’s the NY skyline. Well they have rooms that are along that skyline. It twists & turns for quite a bit so the distance between your room & the elevator could be far. It’s not a straight line.

For me, it’s not a big deal. I only sleep, shower & change there. Also I often get the exact same suite every stay because my host has the room # in her notes. Also my kids use to love running down the winding hallway too, the longer the run the better. I win at this casino so of course, I’m a fan. Stuff to consider.

I’ve never stayed at NYNY but I’ve spent some time there over the years and liked the place. I stayed at Bally’s a couple of years ago and I didn’t like the place at all. I was comped and upgraded to a suite and I would have much rather been in a standard room at Paris or Planet Hollywood. The only good thing about Bally’s is the location and the walkway to Paris. I’ll never stay there again even if it’s for free.

If it was the dead of Winter I might say NYNY, but I love the Ballys pool so I voted Ballys. The pool is low key, and has that deep end, and the monorail for entertainment! Very low key, which is what I like.

I do like the NYNY casino more, and the food options. I think both locations are good, they are just near different attractions.

Ladies getaway, somewhere on the strip with a pool :)

Voted for Bally's since I like the location. It's closer to the places I normally gamble.

I would stay at Bally's. The location is great and you are connected to Paris. I either direction there is Cromwell and Flamingo or Paris and Planet Ho. Also, right across from Planet Ho is Cosmo. I say no brainer on Bally's, but that's just me.
