Maybe explain what you're referring to? I took a quick look at rewards available to me and don't see anything different.

basically just seems like a "collectible" that has a possible prize when the promo(or whatever you want to call it) ends

I have no idea what you're referring to:

    1)Mobile or Facebook?
    2)Where do you find this?
3)Or, what is the name of the feature?

I think it is a Rewards section feature still in testing, so not everyone is seeing it. A lot of users want to be able to convert their loyalty points to playable chips, and I am curious if this is going to be method.

When you purchase one it says it will auto redeem on June 17th - digital redemption.

    Sorry everyone for the confusion.

As @insin points out, it is on the desktop version of the game. There are numbers 0-9 for 10 gold coins. As @MaxDenom points out, it might not be rolled out for everyone yet. Apologies!

Thanks to all that helps clarify it. Well, I'm gonna look at it and see if it's something I want to spend some of my 23M LPs on . . . .

I don't think I was supposed to, but they're so "cheap" that I went and bought all that I could.

@DaiLun - I also bought them all....wasn't sure if I was supposed to.
    Probably some sort of raffle.

Bought all 20 of the numbers/charms/cookies rewards... 350 LPs is nothing. GLTA!

    Here's what my host told me . . . .

"You can only purchase one of each reward with the potential of collecting them all and being eligible for a little surprise! I am so glad that you participated in this feature as we are trying to bring some delight and prosperity to your experience. "

I don't exactly understand what that means, but I'm "excited" to find out.

I just bought them as well. Hopefully it's something for charity of some sort.

    Good luck everyone :)

Part of me thinks it could be a cruise giveaway. They seemed to be giving them away on select sailings pretty aggressively late last year (especially when they gave one to everybody in the room at the October get-together). I assume that the cruise lines did this because with empty spots on relatively last-minute sailings those cabins would have been left unoccupied anyway, and if they're given away on MyVegas the recipients are pretty much guaranteed to have a pretty good yield on casino revenues which will effectively "pay for" the free cruises.

With the massive hit that the cruise industry has taken recently, I feel like the cruise lines would be even more inclined to do something like this.

Yeah I'm gonna be honest if it's a cruise giveaway, I'd take 50% of the trip's value in cash instead.

I feel like this best illustrates exactly why they'd do it, and not offer a cash value.

Say they "award" 1,000 cruises. Maybe 200 people at most will take them because the other 800 cannot or will not go. Of the 200 people who do go they'll have to pay the taxes and port fees out of their own pocket which is standard, so all the cruise line is really "giving away" is a $200-$300 fare for a relatively short voyage... and the average gaming revenue per passenger will likely be far more than that.

It's a no-lose proposition since if people simply decline the prize, it costs the cruise line $0... and if people accept the prize, the cruise line is essentially guaranteed to make money.
