This place is going to potentially open in the middle of a recession. They waited too long. Missed a good 5 year window of solid returns

I think that if there is a significant economic downturn, it will simply sit there, unfinished, again!

For anyone who think there isn't significant work going on, I can verify this is not the case. If you sit on the top level of the double deck bus you get a good view over the fencing. Lots of trucks delivering steel and various crews working all over the property.

Ican say there is work going on there as well, just not to the same level that you see at Resorts World.

Witkoff, not Icahn. Icahn sold it in 2017.

I think the problem is that the pictures of the lower/podium levels aren't found as frequently as we'd like. And while there is some work going on, the question is whether they are moving at a pace fast enough that they are going to be able to open by the summer of 2021. I know it gives them 18 months, which is a lot of time, but still. For example, there is a series of large concrete pillars that have been built from the podium area towards the SE corner of the property, and I assume that they will be part of a larger structure that will be built that you see in the renderings which people will go through to get from that corner to the casino area.....I envision something along the lines of the shopping esplandes at Bellagio or Wynn. I saw the pillars from my room at Encore in early December, but in recent pictures, its hard for me to see any substantial work having been done in this area since then. That surprises me.

Progress but it's painfully slow compared to Circa.

Decent relative close-up comparison from Vegas Changes from 2/28 to 4/18. Looks like some progress is being made on the structure (right portion of the picture) that will lead to the SE corner of the property. Other than that, tough to see a lot that's happened on the exterior:

I would imagine they’ll put the brakes on this (again). Vegas will be hurting for at least another year. No reason to add the additional rooms at this point

Funny...this thread is now over 2 years old and we’re still talking about how we hope it opens one day...

Thread is actually 4 years old, but visible progress only re-started on the place 2 years ago. And even though the tower had been started from the Echelon days, think you still had to bank on a good 2.5-3 years for completion, which is what the goal is at this point. We can see that some work has still taken place since late February, but whether they make summer 2021, especially given the impact of the virus on Las Vegas, is open to debate.
