“We’re desperate” Carolineno’s lowlight slideshow style trip report January 2020

Hi all! I didn’t think I would actually do this, but here are all the pics and comments that I didn’t include in my live trip report because I thought they were too weird, boring or blurry.



Well, we’re here now. This is just going to be 1970’s slideshow style, pretty dull, deadpan comments. Okay, before i think better of it, here goes...

 

The flight out was pretty great, i had a whole row to myself, until someone moved and ruined it. Still nice.



Sci fi channel was showing strange animation between episodes of whatever I was watching.

 

The Lyft to Harrahs was good. My driver was about to move to California for a union job. I hope he is okay, who would have thought...

Dis my room number...


I remember really liking this mini-casino/ bar right outside of my elevator bank. I thought I would gamble there but I never did. Still nice, like a little mini casino.


I also checked for a bible because of a previous trip report here. They still have them at Harrahs. No money tho.


My girlfriend got me these awesome coffee and bourbon gummy bears for Christmas. I rocked those all night. I hope I get more for my birthday!

I really like the style of these elevator lights. Purple!

 

I gambled most of the night and did manage to get a few hours of sleep, not enough tho.


Off to Cosmopolitan now, probably my favorite place on earth!

We passed some points of cultural interest


The check in area is my favorite. I hope they are putting those digital artists to work to come up with more fun stuff to gawk at while we wait in line.


The new Vesper, dark and blurry, and some ceiling that took my fancy, not sure where

 

Oh yeah- for you micro rollers, Harrahs has the Stinkin Rich game with the less lines bet option that engages ALL the lines during the bonus. A lot of places don’t have the less lines option. Fascinating huh?

I drank a fair amount, ate and played video poker and keno at Cosmopolitan for most of the rest of the day with my brother. We had a diamond celebration dinner at Mesa Grille so we hoofed it there. Took some pictures! I really enjoyed Mesa Grille and definitely will be back.

This place interests me but I don’t know anything about the show or characters (there’s a show, or something, right?).






I thought walking from Caesar’s would be a slog but it was short, not a crowded evening.

 

I woke up and ate, gambled. I sleep so well at Cosmopolitan. I should probably only stay there.

Found the Talon Club but I didn’t go in

 

Saw some art and fun things to buy on my way to the buffet.






The red art-o-matic took my $5, buyer beware!

 

I really like that they have a giant jar of fireballs at the buffet!



More sightseeing in Cosmo. Love the escalator descent.


I was up early enough to catch the florists in the high limit area. I thought my daughter would enjoy the picture, but then I felt dumb taking it. Now you have to see it.


They still have the Monkees towards the front here


I don’t even play this game but this board has me checking the number of bonus spins on this! I considered it, but didn’t play this. Did take a picture tho!


I love these little glittery things encapsulated at Cosmo on the casino floor, I forget where...


Gambooled most of the night, ate, covered that in the “real” report lol

 

Dis was my room number. Checked out and hoofed it to Mirage...played a bit before i left.








Graffiti

 

Mirage has the inferior, max lines Stinkin Rich, which I am too Stinkin Cheap to play. I do love the Art Deco keno though. I had ok results there but not enough drink service.






I took some snaps around, Chinese New Year displays and such

I wandered over to Aria and Bellagio for some MyVegas rewards and took some pictures, not impressive enough for the original report




I made note of this Bellagio keno option, to play a billion cards at once! I can barely stomach 4 cards!

 

Not seen the show either, What’s the Vanderpump vibe?

 

The next day I made it downtown. I probably should have gone later in the day, it wasn’t really swinging yet, not even any all night gamblers heading home. Still, I took some crappy pictures, mostly at the Plaza. The rest of the crappy pictures are in my original report...





I was impressed that the Plaza had a cigarette machine. I couldn’t find the prices though.

I Lyfted back to Cosmopolitan even though I wasn’t staying there anymore. Had the same breakfast I had the day before, gambled at “my machine” lol. Took some more dumb pictures. Stole the jelly.







I had some more MyVegas rewards to cash at nyny. I only cashed one, i was pretty tipsy at this point so I didn’t bother getting my free crepe.

 

I made it back to the Mirage and just sobered up and listened to podcasts until my flight home. The volcano was pretty loud. I was surprised.






And so this concludes the low lights of my last trip until I make it back, whenever that is. Glad I did this little exercise as it confirms that I really need to stop these 3 hotel trips. Just pick one that you love and stay put!



Okay that’s it. I got nothing else!

 

I didn’t get close enough to find out. Probably fun. Honestly, i the Cosmopolitan has me trained to head towards purple neon now.

 

Rookie mistake when this happens always move to the middle until at least the first 15 minutes after they turn off the seatbelt light.
