Cosmo Free video poker tourney for free play?

Did anyone else get the email from cosmo today about the free video poker tourney you can do online and they're giving away free play each day? Not sure it was was identity members or not. Just had to enter my identity number.

If you have, what am I missing? I did the ten different 100 hands today, and my top score was barely over 10,000. The guy in first today has over 100,000. What am I missing? I tried all three different video poker games they let you choose from and none got me anywhere close to his number? 100k over 100 hands seems crazy high.

Who else??

 

When it comes to the regular contests on VideoPoker.com you pretty much have to hit a unicorn hand of a dealt royal or aces with a kicked on multihand with a multiplier to stand a chance at winning.

 

That's kind of what I figured.

Yes. I got the email invite & tried it. I got lucky in 1 game. I was playing TDB & had 12x 4000 on 1 hand (AWAK). You just have to get one of those lucky hands with a good multiplier.

 

I saw the link but never got an email. Apparently I wasn’t invited because it won’t let me log in.

 

The best I did was about 12,000. I don’t normally play VP so have no idea how to play correctly. I’ll keep trying and may even look up the strategy. It’ll give me something to do during lockdown. Actually winning some free play would be a nice bonus.

 

Agreed! I'd never in a million years play it in the actual casino but while stuck at home I'll give it a try for some extra free play. Definitely don't know the proper plays though. I guess with this you're really trying to hit home runs versus playing for free drinks etc lol

Awe, I didn't get an email.

 

I got the email, and played about 2 games one night. Nothing to write home about. You need to hit one of those dealt hands probably after a full house dealt or flush dealt to you.

 

Just remember in these type of of tournaments you don't want to play perfect strategy. You have to go for long shots and get lucky too.

 

It's invite only. I certainly was not.

Also when available, I would pick TDB. You're 4 times more likely to be dealt the target hand (a 4000 credit hand) in that game.

 

I wonder what the criteria is to receive.. I've never played video poker at cosmo, but I am gold with them.

 

Would those of you who received this invite mind telling us your tier level, average bet, and if you play VP or slots (or both)? I doubt they are going to say who/why someone gets invited but I'm curious. Nobody I know got the invitation and we all have different levels of play.

Maybe since it's a multi week thing different people are going to be invited each week?

 

Did not get, don't play VP at Cosmo or in general, Sterling tier, not upset.
More interested in some good room/FP/resort credit offers. Not sure the Sterling BOGO will be of use for some time..

 

Got it, obviously. Never play video poker. I am gold and have a host who has reached out to me since the lock down started just to check in.

 

I got it. Platinum and only play slots.

 

It went only to a couple thousand players who had earned a minimum level of points with us over past year or so.
