Thanks for the vid. Nice to see another angle. Hoping to see it live in 7 weeks.

 

Several reasons, actually ...

1. They tend to be COLD!
2. They are not open when the sun is down or even in the evening at sunset time. Dr's orders to stay out of the sun. Skin cancer runs on both sides of the family.
3. {blush} I've been getting more and more out of shape, therefore shy of going in public in swim attire.

 

Ez. You just skip the attire!

Looks like the facade is really coming along. You can see it complete on the back left corner and it at least appears that they are working on it underneath the scaffolding as well.

Is it just me or does the Circa look like a big slot machine?

 

It's really amazing how different the "scale" is of Circa compared to anything else downtown. It really reminds me of how some of the older and now demolished casinos on the strip must have looked quite big when they were built but not so much after the mega resorts started going up. There was a time when Bally's (formerly MGM) was the biggest hotel on the strip and now it's towers are downright unremarkable.

 

Nice angle of Circa construction. What also catches my eye is the Plaza pool. Very Blah! Also, is there really that much of a demand for tennis courts?

 

Sort of related to your comment, but this is a picture taken from the Stratosphere and was posted in the Resorts World thread. Look at how the 4,000-room Circus Circus appears compared to RW:



I can't wait to hear details of the standard room size planned for both Circa and Resorts World. Until then, hopes that the situation we all are in continues to improve.

 

Those are "Pickle Ball" courts and they hold competitions there annually.

Those pickle ball courts go unused the vast majority of the time.
It seems like a total waste of space.

 

Yep! Thats exactly what I'm talking about. Totally wild isn't it?

 

If my visual comparisons of the current state, and the completed model are correct, and, if I can count, it looks like there are only one or two more floors left (aside from the ones being finished now) to be added to the hotel tower. I think I read that the scheduled concrete completion date for the tower was in mid May. With one floor a week progress, my take is that they are slightly ahead of schedule, at least for this part of the project.

 

I haven’t been able to access the Oxblue construction cam for a few days, anybody else have this problem?
