I'm so much of an ex that I got into selling some of the gold jewelry pieces I have. Started a couple months ago but have had to basically stop because I didn't want to keep meeting up with people. But I did pretty good for the couple months I was able to before the social distancing rules actually went into effect. 20200411_073649.jpg 20200411_073549.jpg

But it reminded me that I would get many questions as to if it's real gold...So I did end up investing in these (magnifying glasses)....They should be helpful when I'm able to resume business.

And definitely as far as new tops I have enough for Vegas and maybe even if we still go to Key West later this year.

I bring my star maps out to LV. Sometimes I head south on 93 out of the valley and just pull over and try to do some star gazing. I love it. Maybe I'll try heading north on 93 for a change.

There’s an app for that, check out Star Walk. I have it loaded on my iPad.

Not Amazon, but eBay. Because I need yet another kit in my collection.

Yeah, I already know I am going to have a lot to sell/consign or donate. Nothing really that is in the tossing category except old used makeup. I won't be selling gold but those magnifying glasses are really cool. (And no, I won't buy those LOL but in your situation it definitely is a good investment.) Wishing you much success when we get to a new normal.

As an avid paperback reader, I finally got with the times and took the plunge into Kindle land. I bought a Kindle Paperwhite and really like it. I'm playing with the free 3-month Kindle Unlimited feature but will likely not continue Unlimited as I can get virtually every Kindle book I want from the public library at no charge.

Coke Zero, kind of my comfort drink. I ordered a bunch from Amazon so I don't have to be picking up more in person every week or so.

I’ve been really good but I spend a good share of my day working. At night I’m still wiped out. I actually have been listing & trying to sell things on eBay to help pay for the rest of the funeral. I don’t want to raid my vacation fund for that. Plus mom would haunt me if I did. She loved to travel.

Amazon has been only deodorant. I’m dull. Arrid XX gel. Can’t really get in a store any longer & its all we use. I did order ink for printer (billed to work since I’m printing for work) and packing tape for my eBay shipments. I did have to sneak into WM today for a shredder for work.

Not Amazon but Ebay, I bought a silk shirt as worn by Al Pacino in the film Danny Collins. Proper cert and all that as I do collect memorabilia so I do research. The shirt is from a design company in Beverly Hills so the shirt is worth more than I paid for it anyway without the link to a film.

havent pulled the trigger on the large purchases yet but recently ordered a bunch of smaller items all adding up to several hundos, lol

Amazon: grabbed a long leash for the dog, he drug me around the park on his short one, 30ft over about 5ft should give him some freedom,,,then I restocked up on tide pods and toothpaste as im getting low, ordered some batteries for my Milwaukee tools and instead received a bunch of baby wipes, lol so waiting for the Batteries now. a few rugs, some boxers and a bunch of bike parts to finish off my custom tricycle i dug out trying to finish building, few parts left

eBay: tail lights for the tricycle

bought some more drinks and snacks, asian imports, lol

bought some pieces to fix my BBQ pit, it works but few of the stainless flame/burner pieces are falling apart from age and extreme heat, should get it back to like new soon

Telescope arrived. Took me about 20-30 minutes to put together. Too bad it’s cloudy tonight. Guess I’ll have to wait until it clears up.

I order something from Amazon everyday. I miss the fast delivery but understand why some orders take priority. I had to call to get my credit card limit increased. Most of my entertainment comes from perusing Amazon, MyFico and Vegas Message Board.

Right now boxes are stacked everywhere from Amazon. I buy and am too lazy to open them when they come in. Maybe tomorrow. I am sure UPS and USPS hate me. They have to deliver here almost every day.

    Another electronic kit.

You can see, and read about it here: https://www.qrp-labs.com/qcx.html

The last thing I need is another radio project, but this is a nice, single band, low power, CW (Morse code) transceiver kit, that gets fantastic reviews. It is dirt cheap for what it is, and I do enjoy building stuff, so what the heck. Total cost, including the optional enclosure, and shipping was about $100, and you just can't beat that. Should be here in a couple of weeks, as it comes from somewhere on the other side of the world.

I haven't pulled the trigger yet, but I've been tempted after the stimulus check showed up in my checking account. LOL I've been interested in getting a mini drone for awhile now so I can shoot some aerial photos/videos during my travels. I currently have the DJI Mavic Mini Drone on my Amazon wishlist. The drone with the fly more kit (extra batteries, spare props, etc.) is just under $500 which isn't too bad of a price considering it has a stabilized controlable onboard HD camera and all of the extras accessories in the kit. When the drone is folded down for storage, it can fit in the palm of your hand so it'll easily fit in my backpack when traveling to Vegas or anywhere.

I'm familiar with DJI's larger drones like the Mavic Pro which are rather expensive. A friend owns one and he let me test fly it once, but the larger drones have to be licensed with the FAA. Mini drones below a certain weight class like the Mavic Mini are exempt in the US from having to be register with the FAA, so they're ideal for the casual hobbyist like me. They're also fun to fly around where it's legal to do so. You can even fly these indoors, so it could be something else to play with during this pandemic. LOL It's GPS enabled and the controller hooks up to your smartphone which serves as the flight display. It can also display areas where it's legal/illegal to fly drones based on your GPS location.

My 2020 American Casino Guide coupon book arrived yesterday! I am all over the map about when and if I'll go this year, but for $11, it's nice to plot and dream.

I also got some battery powered fairy lights to illuminate my tiki mug shelves at night. Cheap thrills.

Resisting the urge to buy a treadmill. These long walks are great for my sleep cycle and stress, but they aren't cutting through the flab. I'm a gym person and it doesn't look like the gym is gonna open any time soon. The weather has been horrible here! I can't wait to move out of this climate! So, no to treadmill, yes to outdoor running* gear.

I have a large collection of mostly home built racing quads, and this is one of the few things I can do at the house other than sit around and watch TV. Highly recommend it if you're in to that kind of thing. If you get a DJI or anything with an autopilot and GPS Return to Home, take care to read the manual and ensure "home" is set to the correct location before your first (and every other) flight. #1 cause of lost drones is failing to set home properly on initial setup and the things try to fly back to china when the battery gets low.

I have a Yuneec Typhoon H, fairly large hexacopter, folds up small, GPS, gimbal stabilized HD camera, you DO NOT have to register it if you do not want to, basically I think it was $5 and they send you a serial number to write on the drone. when some dumbass thinks they know what the laws are and tries to tell you whats right and wrong, show them the license and tell them to kick rocks, it basically gives you a short list of where to and not to fly and you understand them.

thats not how return to home works or at least not with Yuneec drones. return to home goes to the where the controller is. if you lose line of sight and panic or lose video signal, flip the switch and it will turn toward the controller and either raise or lower to a user set height and then start its flight back to the controller, at any time you can turn the switch off and go back to flying

#1 cause of lost drones is a fly away, signal lose and it just keeps flying whatever way it is pointed till it runs the battery down and slowly lowers to wherever
