We just switched cheap may flights for September... same price and Sunday-Saturday (late-late)—early early.

If my favorite casinos and restaurants were open, I'd go in a heart beat. Still crossing my fingers that my scheduled trip for Memorial Day week will be a go. I have 27 vacation days to use this year, and the last place I want to be when I take off is home, so I count on these Vegas trips to keep me sane.

I need more information, but lean "no" at this point.

I do have a reservation, and a sweet cheap upgrade, the weekend we booked for in April but that booking was done knowing that it is easily canceled. I didn't bother with a counter for that trip...

Everything is day by day at this point...we can't live in semi-isolation forever but we also can't be playing in a mine field.

Sep/Oct is EARLIEST I would consider going - and even that's a big fat MAYBE...

Wife and I had Condo and Car rental booked for St Martin (mid-May) - canceled that as I don't feel comfortable traveling until Sep/Oct at the earliest (depending are where we are with everything that's going on right now).

I am currently still booked and would love to go at that time, not saying that I would not be a little nervous. My considerations would be optics for our employees and clients. How would it look if we left as we were just getting back to the new normal. More than likely we would ame for a late fall trip.

For a PS to my #60 post: As much as I'm trying to avoid the virus, I sure as heck don't want to risk getting it right AFTER staying home alone for x number of weeks!

Booked April 17-20, but we're thinking about moving the trip into May. Even if the casinos reopen on the 17th, I don't feel like a lot of other venues (restaurants, shows, shopping) will be ready.

I was there during crisis (3/11-3/16) IF it opens April 17 I most likely wait few months before I make it out there... maybe late part of summer (?)

I currently have a reservation and flight for the 17th, which I've had since January, but if they do in fact open on the 17th, I will almost for sure be there. At this point though, I have low confidence with that happening.

I wouldn't be shocked if the Nevada Governor extends the shutdown a few weeks, so I wouldn't do it. Made reservations for June, I figure it should be better by then.

I currently still have my bookings for May 3-8, Jul 1-7 and Sep 6-13. Whenever they open up I would be comfortable going. Only caveat would be coming from Canada, if we still have the required self-quarantine for 14 days after getting back, I can't afford (not a money issue but the work that needed to be done before a deadline which would be difficult to do in isolation) to be away from work for that time period so I would have to cancel.

This will not be better in the spring. It might be better by summer/early fall, and there will likely be at least one more outbreak next winter before an immunization will be made widely available.

    Buckle up, folks.

My April/May trip is already falling apart, sadly. The first part, which is NOLA for my best friend's "Jack and Jill" bachelorette/bachelor party already got effectively cancelled, as the hotel we booked on Hotwire got automatically cancelled as "We have been notified by the hotel, where you were scheduled to stay, that they have been closed and are not accepting guests for your travel dates.". Strangely it seems most other hotels are available... but I'm taking this as a sign that this whole thing isn't meant to be. I've taken a full inventory of everything I've booked and what the cancellation policies are and it seems I'll be good to get almost everything back (either as cash or future credit). Still sucks, as I was so looking forward to this trip :(

I'm with the "passive" folks on this one. Overcoming this whole thing will be a matter of months, not weeks. Even if everything appears to be "back to normal" with places like Vegas resorts opening back up, I still won't go right away. As eager as I am to return, I'm absolutely not eager to be one of the people that finds out the hard way that we jumped the gun by opening things back up. Vegas is about the last place in the world that I'd want to develop symptoms and have to be quarantined.

So to answer the thread title question... as someone who was set to go on April 26th, I'm going to say it's pretty much a hard no for me.

Truly heartbreaking! But, I guess the best way to look at it is that compared to millions crossing the ocean to fight the Germans and Japanese in WWII, staying at home watching Netflix and posting on VMB is not a bad tradeoff!

A little off topic (but not too much). I got back from Vegas two weeks ago today. So, it looks like I didn't catch it while I was there. And, I got out at the right time. Good luck everyone.

I don't see how that can possibly work. Numbers are still climbing. Opening things up prematurely would be dangerous to the public health until we actually have this under control. I'm using Dr Fauce as my guide. When he says it's right, it's right. He has no ax to grind, so I'm believing him. I'll gamble money, but not my life.
