have a chance to be comt at ceasers palace in may. had this before the virus hit. question is there any area closer to the pool to be in? is it worth it to stay there or should we stick with old reliable harrahs? thanks (sorry about spelling)
Palace tower is closest to the pool. Harrah's is a 2 star place, Caesars is more of a 4 star place. Caesars pool is an order of magnitude better than Harrah's. Overall, Caesars is overpriced if it isn't comped, but it's a very nice property.
Caesars is one of our home bases. It attracts a mature crowd. You won't feel uncomfortable there at all. Caesars totally blows away Harrahs.
I stayed at Caesars well into my 40's and felt totally comfortable at the pool all day-as someone said, it's a more mature crowd-I felt that way at Bellagio also
Palace Tower is closest and Octavius Tower is second closest. There was a entrance near Octavius tower last time we were able to go through that is only steps away. Some reported this entrance closed at times but I believe it may be open during warmest months. Beer will be difficult to sneak in since they will most likely check at entrance. Even if you have a bag they will check it. Maybe get one souvenir cup from the pool and sneak drinks from the room that way. Worst case scenario is you drink before the pool and then splurge on a beer poolside if you are inclined to do so for the moment. Caesar's may attract more younger crowds too the closer to summer you get. I am fairly young as well as my partner and Caesars is our home base in Vegas. We love the Palace Studio Suites for their 2 bathrooms.
You will be more than comfortable at that pool at 50. CP is my relax pool and Flamingo is my "Clinging to my Youth" pool. Depending on mood or hangover, we bounce back and forth regardless of where we are staying.
