I would think that just about any concert that is actually CANCELLED will refund tickets. It may take time as they do not have to same automated systems for giving money back. And of course, so many people are not even going to work anyways.

If it’s Ticketmaster, I’m sure there will be a service charge for a refund.

I read on their website they have 21 days to issue a refund after an event is canceled. We shall see if that holds true. I doubt they have had this many cancellations all at once in the past.

Just had a NON Vegas, NON ticketmaster event cancelled. They are moving to October and we can not go. They said no refunds. I feel bad for them, but we can not blow money either. Just did a credit card dispute. Will see what happens.

    Follow up on refunds.

Ceasars posted if you purchased through them and event was canceled they will refund directly to you automatically.

    if purchase was through ticket master like mine this is the following e mail I received;

If your event was canceled, there’s also nothing you need to do. It’s Ticketmaster’s standing policy to automatically refund the full cost of the ticket and fees to the original purchaser’s credit card. For any canceled events: Due to the unprecedented volume of cancelations, please note that you should expect to receive your refund in as soon as 30 days

I got an email from TicketMaster within two days of my Absinthe cancellation:

    Hi live event fan,

One or more of your events have changed.

To find out the status of your event(s), as well as more information regarding the cancellation and rescheduling of live events, go to ticketmaster.com and follow these simple steps:

At the top of the home page, you'll find two links: Find the Status of Your Event and Information Regarding the Cancellation and Rescheduling of Live Events.

    1. Under the "Find the Status of Your Event" link, you will find all events that have been cancelled, postponed, or rescheduled.
    2. To change the city you are searching, click the city link next to 'All Event Status Updates Near.'
    3. To filter by Cancelled, Postponed, or Rescheduled events, click the drop-down menu on the left.
    4. To filter by Category, click the drop-down menu in the middle.
For Postponed and Rescheduled Events: If you're selling tickets to these events, the listing with the old date will come down — then just list the new tickets with the new date (once confirmed) from My Account on your computer or mobile device.

We are working with the event organizer to identify new dates (for events that are postponed), and we will contact you as soon as we have confirmation. For rescheduled events, that information will be listed on our website by your event. If your event's organizer is offering refunds for a postponed or rescheduled event, this option (a refund link) will be visible under the order in your Ticketmaster account.

For any canceled events: Due to the unprecedented volume of cancelations, please note that you should expect to receive your refund in as soon as 30 days. If the tickets were transferred to you, the refund will go to the fan who originally bought the tickets from Ticketmaster.

We appreciate your patience during this time.

    Thanks for being a fan.

Yes, this is generally the case. There's a huge number of cancelled events going on so it can take a bit longer, but barring extreme circumstances, if you buy tickets to a concert that gets cancelled, you'll get a refund.

I think it was three years ago - I had Donny and Marie tickets from Ticketmaster. The show was cancelled and they automatically refunded me.

I bought tickets for WWE Smackdown in Detroit on Friday March 13th. It's listed as an official cancellation (not delayed), still have gotten a refund-they did tell me up to 30 for wait time, and to "look out for an email".

I bought tickets to Rod Stewart for the March 18th performance. Per Ticketmaster, there are different procedures for “postponed” events opposed to cancelled events. Luckily I purchased the ticket insurance. It cost me $26 but I didn’t have to go through the postponed BS. Got my $289 refund check last week.

OMG thank you for posting this!!!!! I got ticket insurance for Aerosmith in May. I just went and looked at the policy and saw this. That would be huge for us, especially if it is postponed and we can't go to the rescheduled date.

Mrs Wallew is pissed that she doesn’t get to go to “The price is right live” at Harrahs AC on May 1.

We had similar with Buddy Guy in Austin. Ticketmaster said refunds had to come from the venue unless eventually cancelled then we would get them through Ticketmaster. I think there must be a surcharge and if venue refunds a rescheduled show versus a cancelled show they eat the surcharge. So the venue said wait too. It is rescheduled for August but I don’t see it happening as it would be 7,000+ people in a venue indoors.
Back in the day when you could walk up to the ticket window it was a lot simpler. And cheaper. But things change.......as we will see over the next 18 months or more.
