With no MLB for the foreseeable future, when I stumbled onto this clip on YouTube, I thought a thread of classic clips would help all of us baseball fans, easing some of the withdrawal pain...
I'll start with Gibson's pinch-hit at bat, bottom of the 9th, 2 outs and down by a run... World Series, Game 1, 1988...
I'm not a Dodger fan by any stretch, but even I have to admit, this is a CLASSIC baseball moment!

A great moment, especially Vin Scully's call. I'm not a Dodgers' fan but that was really an incredible season with Hershiser and Gibson basically carrying that team on their backs to beat a really stacked Oakland A's team.

Husband bleeds Dodger Blue. I'm just grateful I got to see The Red Sox win a couple of World Series in my lifetime...(born in MA)

Since then, I don't want to be greedy so now I'm all for the Padres. They were really on a roll last season and coming together as a team.
Beautiful ball park too. Love the mascot as well as the Anchorman Race.

I'm surprised by that, but I really couldn't care less about it.

Very sad as I was looking forward to the Astros dodging beanballs every game.

Does anyone know what happens to over/under bets for baseball futures bets? I'd assume the bets will just be canceled, since there's no way a full season will be played. At this rate we may see the entire season canceled. I sure hope not, on Thursday it's really going to sink in, as that was supposed to be opening day.

I'm going to assume you don't miss sports because of the bigger picture going on.

Gotta say that I just can't get into these recent games and highlights. Now, if they rep[layed games from the 40s and 50s, I might watch!

It’s funny. I’ve had some memorable experiences at baseball games yet I don’t fancy the game itself, anymore.

One of the best times was at a cubs game at Wrigley. About 15 of us were escorted from the bleachers for being too lively. It was so bad that the entire bleachers were booing the attendants. Even Ronnie WooWoo came to our group that day...

I was also at a game in Toronto where Winfield hit the seagull. I will stick up for him on that one. The bird didn’t even move...LOL. Freaky.....

But it is a great way to pass the time with a group of friends!!!

It is clear that you am NOT a sports fan. That's fine, no problem, many people are not missing what they do not enjoy. That does not make you special, just normal.

You'll get a refund I'm sure. There's no way they will be able to play a full 162 game season. Hopefully they come back to play a modified schedule at some point. I was actually in Arizona for spring training when this hell broke out. Was slated to see the Cubs-Dodgers in Mesa when all games were cancelled. I was also looking forward to playing a few future bets on over/under as well. Alas, there is always next year.

I was sitting in the left field bleachers, 17 rows up, pretty much directly behind the foul pole. :D

I watched sporting events almost every day while we had them. I thought I would go crazy without them. I will say, the older i get, the less these games seem to mean to me. So, yeah.....i guess I'm not really a fan anymore.

I'm sure lots of people miss their sports for several different reasons. I hope you get them back soon!

    Thanks.
Mostly because I really love baseball for when my dad took me to games when I was a little gal and still love baseball now.
