Oh @ardee Thank you for sharing this. I remember being blown away by this performance of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps"! Two amazing talents gone, Tom Petty and Prince :cry:I miss them both.

I view jazz more in sessions than in individual cuts. Brubeck's piece is great but I would take "Kind of Blue" by Miles or "Full House" by Wes Montgomery as my favorite sessions. "Take Five" is also a finalist for most abused instrumental cover, jazz category. I mean, most of the covers I have heard don't even use a five meter.

My favorite instrumental is the Mozart Clarinet Concerto with Szell, Cleveland and Robert Marcellus. For something that must be played at 10, Carlos Kleiber and Berlin also did an unforgettable Beethoven Fifth. The final movement will penetrate your soul.

The good the bad and the ugly. Ennio Morricone.

Then there were a lot of great TV Theme instrumentals i rocked out to as a youngster...Peter Gun. Perry Mason. Bonanza. Ok. Maybe I didn't rock out to them, but they had a certain pizzazz to them.

When I am home, having a relaxing evening spinning plates, I like to listen to this.

One of my all time favorite guitarist, Tommy Emmanuel, playing "Windy and Warm". I learned to play this tune a few years ago, but I still can't play it even half as good as Tommy.
