Do you have any "Vegas triggers"? It could be any person, place, thing, meal, drink, activity, etc. that makes you instantly think of Vegas, even though an objective outside observer would say, "What in God's name does that have to do with Vegas?"

For me, it's a Venezuelan golfer named Jhonattan Vegas. As soon as I saw his name, I was like, "Hey man, that's Johnny Vegas! I'm gonna root for him to win every single tournament from now on! Johnny Vegas, baby!"

So when I'm watching the West Bumblenuts Open or whatever, and I see that dude in contention, I'm just like WOO HOO GO GO JOHNNY VEGAS!!!!!

Do you have any Vegas triggers?

This is played over a montage of epic moments in the arena before a PPV. Chills every time, and I've been to a bunch of events.

“Who’s Next”. One helluva(n) album; almost like a Greatest Hits release.

I'm a fan of "Johnny Vegas" too just because of the name.

Dave N Busters because the scent they use near the front door reminds me of MGM Grand.

Every time I fix myself a cranberry juice and ginger ale cocktail I picture myself in Vegas sitting at one of my favorite slot machines as the CW hands me this drink.

The casinos used to give away discarded decks of cards with the logo of each on the box & back of the cards. I've got a handful of those stacked inside the supply closet, and every time I open the door...Paris, Caesars, Bellagio, Aladdin, etc.

This definitely will fall in the category of "What the heck does this have to do with Vegas?".

At our local shopping center there are highly coveted parking stalls that are located right in front of our favorite grocery and drug store. They are always full and as soon as one car backs out another is already jockeying to fill that spot. If you are not lucky you are relegated to the huge parking lot with the rest of the masses.

Anyway every week I will slowly run that gauntlet hoping to get lucky. When I do, my wife and I always look at each other and proclaim "Jackpot!! We gotta go to Vegas!!!"

I made a chili dog yesterday and bam!!!.....I had flashbacks to the hot dog cart at the Frontier back in the 80s. They had a kind of DIYS hot dog cart where you would pay the person attending it then you could create your own hot dog with a wide array of options. I'd always make two monster chili cheese dogs with a ton o' onions. :feedme::feedme::feedme: Way better than the hot dogs at the 'Ho and infinitely better than the ones at El Cortez....lol. As far as Vegas flashbacks go that was a pretty good one.

The Zac Brown Band song "Chicken Fried" because the last time I stayed on the strip, this song was blaring outside Cabo Wabo as we walked by one night.

The Wizard of Oz. Not because of the slot, but because of the MGM original theme. My first stay was at MGM so the Oak Ridge Boys (they were playing there) and Oz always make me think of my first trip.

I’m sure there are more oddball triggers but I can’t think of them at the moment...

Ladies getaway, somewhere on the strip with a pool :)
