Well I guess that was our last visit for a little bit. Ontario just announced that all casinos are closing.

Our local was still normal on Wednesday night. I did not sit next to anyone and I wiped the buttons off with sanitizer on the machines I played. Not sure I will even bother to stop and try to quickly play thru my freeplay this week.

I expect that even if Evers request that they close, until BIA comes out and says something that they will remain open. They still had bingo today at ours.

As an aside. We were talking this morning and a limit of 250 people gathering is fairly subjective as is any number. We have a 2001 sq ft home. If 248 people come over we are in compliance but if we had 20,001 sq ft I’d feel better.
With a 6’ suggested distance, that’s 36 sq ft per person. So we could have less than 60 people ok but everyone would have to move in tandem. So a bar vs a movie theatre could be quite different in scope.
    Be safe everyone!!

I was at my local (Viejas - San Diego area) Friday and the crowd seemed a little light, but not out of the realm of other times I have been there. I must have seen at least triple the cleaning going on there as I have ever seen :hmmm: Left a bit early to get some sleep before tackling the grocery-pocalypse (coincidentally locking in a $900 win ); thankfully we were able to get almost all of what we were looking for :)

I went to Chinook Winds the latter part of February and all was normal. Pretty much before it hit the fan though. I won $250 in a slot tourney and am hoping all is well in time for me to play it before it expires. Maybe, being the really kind and generous people they are, the casino will extend the time for me to use it.

Just checked Spirit Mt and while they are open, they are cancelling some events.

River City, according to a lady friend who works there, was not much different than a normal Friday night. $10 and $15 craps tables all full. That crowd is normally on the older side too.

I live in WI on the MN / WI border so the locals closest to me are NA casinos in MN. I went Saturday morning and seemed about normal for a morning as far as gambling. The buffet though normally has a very long line for breakfast and there was no one in line.

It's interesting because as I understand it the Native casinos do not have to follow normal state guidelines as they are regulated on a federal level.

I know Potawatomi in Milwaukee has made a statement that they intend to stay open. I haven't had a chance to go myself so I cannot comment on any changes they have implemented. As far as I know, Oneida in Green Bay also has no plans to close.

I did see on the bigjackpot last night that the casino (Ameristar in Blackhawk Colorado) he was at had every other machine turned off for separation of patrons.

I also have heard that some of the poker rooms that are remaining open are playing 6 handed, and blackjack tables 4 handed.

Went to Majestic, Ameristar, and Horseshoe yesterday while meeting up with @DDB at Ameristar. It was probably a bit slower for a Sunday, but not too much. At first Horseshoe was pretty busy because they were wrapping up a stupid giveaway. Cookware set I believe. lol I think the gambling degenerates probably wanted a last hurrah before the closure, so they showed up.

Also we both had a good day at the casinos. I was up $250 and he was double me!

Louisiana casinos have to close at midnight tonight.

For the well-being of our team members and guests, Harrah's New Orleans will be temporarily closed effective at 12:00 AM on Tuesday, March 17, 2020.

Earlier today, Governor Edwards and the Louisiana Gaming Control Board ordered the state's 20 casinos, including Harrah's New Orleans, to suspend gambling operations at midnight tonight as a precautionary measure due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While there have been no reported cases of COVID-19 at Harrah's New Orleans, our casino, hotel and restaurants will close to the public. The expected reopening date will be Monday, April 13, 2020.

Thank you for your continued loyalty and we look forward to serving you in the near future. In the meantime, we wish you to stay safe and well.

Stopped at turning stone in NY yesterday for about an hour. It was pretty quiet for a Sunday afternoon. It has closed tonight along with most other NY casinos.

Went to Ilani resort on 3/15 and while it was still open, the crowd was sparse. The casino is setup with mostly groups of 4 machines in a "pod" and the middle two machines on the pods were being shut down as people left. Looks like the plan is to stay open but keep the distance between people. On Friday 3/13, Smash Mouth played a free show in the large bar there and they limited the attendance to 200 people. They roped off the bar and had an impressive security, staff, and EMT presence at the event. To get in, you needed to have one of the free bracelets from staff manning the entrance to the area.

EDIT: As of evening of 3/16 Ilani is shutting down until April 1.

My local, a casino boat sailing from Port Canaveral, Florida closed the 16th for at least two weeks. I imagine their business was being hurt as they claimed to have sprayed all the surfaces and chips someone would touch on the whole boat interior, the boarding facilities and transport with something that would kill the virus for up to 30 days.

Prairie Meadows near Des Moines closed 3-16 for at least two weeks. They announced they are paying their employees up to one month.

In case you missed my TR, the entire state of Mississippi is closed as of midnight last night. I just got here yesterday around 5pm and it was already somewhat of a ghost town. Parking lot at Beau Rivage was so empty that we almost turned around and left thinking they must be closed, but we walked in anyway and there were a lot of folks playing in the casino but definitely wasnt what I'd imagine a normal crowd would look like.

Graton, Jackson Rancheria, Cache Creek in Norcal all closing.

Appears Thunder Valley scaled back. No info on Harrahs NorCal.

SF Bay Area on mandatory shelter-in-place... so players cant drive to those locations anyway.
