    My Trip Report

St Paddy and Jameson or Corona...which is stronger??

    Versus

So this was gonna be a family get together for St Paddy's Day, but then this virus thing came up, so my sister cancelled out of concern for her four kids...totally understandable. But airline prices are dropping like a rock, Southwest no change fees, and we had the rooms so off we go! Me, @MrsIrishDave, our daughter and her boyfriend leaving tomorrow to stay at Elara. We were scheduled to come back Wednesday, and my daughter and bf still will, but @MrsIrishDave and I are risking life and limb waiting for @Hoofy7 to show up Friday. We're at Cosmo Wed-Sat morning, so we'll have to drink heavily to fend off the germs.

I think all y'all pretty much know what to expect. Hope they don't close Cosmo's sports book bar since there are no sports..

Airport isn’t crowded, but not completely empty either

Curious how many people are still showing for flights. I booked yesterday and the planes were showing mostly full as I selected my seats. The flying and airports are one of my biggest hesitations.

Thanks for the updates- interested to see what a trip looks like right now, especially after canceling earlier this week. Hope you have a great time.

Hi @irishdave glad to see you guys didn’t give up on Vegas we really need the spirit here. One thing keep it mind, as of this morning (I been here since Wednesday) pretty much all resturants are open and business as usual. However starting Monday (even Sunday) lot of strip restaurants are closing; I think due to not enough business and virus shit. So keep that in mind, I’m leaving Monday afternoon. We are currently in aria let me know how you guys are

On the ground. Airport is quite a bit slower than normal, but by no means empty

I’m coming on Tuesday, staying for 7 nights. I hope that at least some restaurants are open. I’ll have a rental so off strip is an option. I just hope they don’t shut down the casinos. Because I’m booked with Spirit to change my ticket would be at least $200-300. I’m not going to cancel just yet, I’m just playing it by ear. I’m also concerned if while out there they ground all flights. I could drive home, as I’m off work for the next 2 weeks, but this trip is solo, I’d hate to make that long drive back alone.

We could drive together if that happened, as I’m supposed to fly out ( back home) the morning of 3/25. I’m near Syracuse though, not sure where you live?

well hopefully it’s not too bad.. I also spoke w front desk mgr at aria sky suite, he said even the lots of places supposedly shutting down its case by case, obviously if there’s enough ppl I think they gonna be start opening back up.
Regards to grounding the plane I’m pretty sure gov will give least a week so there’s plenty of time ppl to get back home as well.
